One of the most awful elements to covering the growing Epstein scandal is having to read about the grooming process and ever-appreciating the fact that these monsters went after plain old children, goofballs – young teen girls, not “young women” (If I read that term again in this context I am going to go insane), and it is no different in reading about the tear-inducing plight of then 14 year old “Jane,” who had lost her father to cancer and had a family in financial despair – a kid, in need of love and support. Instead, she got Trump and the predator that was Epstein. Rawstory forwards a report about how Trump helped Epstein groom this then-very young girl in order to assault her.
From the report, we hear details emerging from Jane’s testimony at Maxwell’s trial:
“Under cross-examination, Jane testified that Epstein had subsequently introduced her to Trump in person at Mar-a-Lago in December of 1994,” said the report. “A 2020 civil suit that Jane would later file against the Epstein estate and its executors would later allege, ‘Introducing 14-year-old [Jane] to Donald J. Trump, Epstein elbowed Trump playfully asking him, referring to [Jane], ‘This is a good one, right?’ Trump smiled and nodded in agreement. They both chuckled and [Jane} felt uncomfortable, but, at the time, was too young to understand why.'”
If she felt uncomfortable, then she wasn’t completely unable to comprehend the situation. She likely knew next to nothing about sex, but that doesn’t mean she didn’t know that she was being looked at aggressively, or might be used rather than taken care of. It makes one’s skin crawl, even for people who aren’t fathers of 17-year-old daughters. Alas, it seems even worse for those of us who are. This is especially so when reading how the meeting came about:
She first met Maxwell and Epstein at the Interlochen summer arts camp in 1994. “She was walking with a cute little Yorkie,” she said. “We asked if we could pet the dog. We started chit-chatting, petted the dog. And the rest of my classmates had to go to class. And probably about a minute later, a man came and joined her.”
A young girl at art camp asks to pet the dog. Does anything scream “kid” louder with more clarity? Here is this girl in desperate need of adults to step in to provide a healthy environment, one in which she can go to school, dream, maybe flirt with boys her age, get her own dog, and grow into womanhood over time, under someone’s loving eye. Instead, she ran into Epstein, who history will record as one of the most awful child predators to ever traffick.
Again, this child was referenced as a “good one” by Epstein to Donald Trump – obviously understanding what “good” meant in that context, having just met her. Only in hindsight, with a tremendous amount of empathy and heartfelt desire to help Jane, does it become clear that, to Trump and Epstein, she was a good target – coming off the loss of a parent, a mother in distress, desperation, and a body barely beginning the metamorphosis to adulthood. A “good one.” It likely means that this one was “cute” and, much more importantly, in a position to be separated from parental oversight, lost to Ghislaine Maxwell, who would then knowingly offer her up for rape. Only on this ultimate realization does the rage truly come to a fitting degree.
Her dad died. She was at summer camp, just wanting to pet a dog, while her schoolmates went by. My God, if only we had a time machine, someone could go back and hug her, offering to get her back to her friends, providing a listening ear and support.
She needed an adult. Instead, she got real-life monsters.

I remember reading about scumtrump’s parties with young girls and Epstein years before he got into politics. This stuff should have been made public during his first run but as usual, money trumps all.
