Good heavens, the man is presenting himself, and by extension, the United States, in a really bad light. His wandering responses to questions are whatever he can think of at the moment, and he doesn’t remember anything important. Holy cow, the man can blather. From Raw Story:
Sitting in with host Ali Velshi on Sunday after Donald Trump completed a press conference in Scotland with Ursula von der Leyen, president of the European Commission, one of the president’s biographers called the Trump’s answers, “profound ignorance” and demeanor “disturbing on a number of levels.” After host Velshi started the segment by blurting, “Wow. That was batcoop crazy,” biographer and Bloomberg Opinion Editor in Chief Tim L. O’Brien looked equally distressed. “Tim, this was so full of nonsense. I truly am a bit of a loss for words, so please help,” Velshi prompted his guest.
Yowza. When a member of the press, who does this for a living, is stunned, that’s something to notice. And to use a phrase like that, well, things really are that bad. Trump talked on and on and on, and that seems to be the usual interview answer. He’s worse than Pete Kegsbreath. That’s saying something. I’m thinking he doesn’t even use index cards to remember facts. It’s all off the cuff. It’s more than cringeworthy.
“Well, so as you as you’ve noted, Ali, this this has happened before, this is classic Trump,” “First and foremost for me was how this press conference began which was questions about Gaza,” he continued. “There is a humanitarian crisis in Gaza, there is starvation in Gaza. He was asked about Israel’s disposition toward all of that and his answer was we don’t get thanked enough for the humanitarian aid we provide Gaza –– he completely dodged the question.”
Good grief. These days, I’m not sure he remembers that we are allied with Israel. He and Netanyahu are good friends. Why isn’t he applying pressure on him to stop this senseless killing of civilians? We all know it. But it seems tRump doesn’t remember that. We have aid for them. We just can’t get it to them. Neither can anyone else.
“Now, people who attribute strategy to Trump will say, well, that was good for him, he avoided getting into the gnarly and troublesome details of the Gaza war,” he elaborated. “But then he continued on and on, and he proceeded to say at one point that Hamas was stealing humanitarian supplies. Trump’s own government, I think just 2 or 3 days ago, after a study, said there was no evidence that Hamas was stealing supplies.“
El Presidente Imbécil doesn’t remember. He can barely keep a thought for a few minutes, let alone anything longer. It seems there is no method available that will let him do something that doesn’t include talking like an idiot. Crikey, that’s embarrassing. We may be stuck with this for another 3 ½ years. I’m not sure JD Fanboy would be any better, but he’d likely be less corrupt. What are we in for?

While the Maga’s are PO’ed at Rump for the Epstein thing, they totally ignore all the other issues: the absolute corruption, the obvious mental/dementia decline, the sheer stupidity, the utter incompetence, throwing America under the bus by destroying all those departments that help us in our daily lives in favor of tax cuts for the obscenely rich, the total chaos he’s thrown our country into, bilking all of us out of vast sums of money for his tariffs (that he stupidly, obstinately refuses to acknowledge who pays for them), the turning America into a sh*thole country in less than six months, with the help of incompetent, venal, corrupt cronies who do his bidding. The Maga’s want to pursue the shiny object, Epstein, all the while letting so much more go by unnoticed. Wonder how many decades it will take for us to put this nation back together again.
