Well one thing is near-certain. There is no way that the big and noticeable bruise on Trump’s hand is due to the fact that he’s shaken so many hands. No, Trump didn’t suddenly start greeting people with a good physical handshake in the last week – not likely. But he did acquire a significant bruise not frequently occurring and especially in the last week, as noticed by the press – and definitely covered with an aggressive dose of concealer. But the excuse was used anyway.
Now, it is normal for the elderly to bruise almost on demand. They bruise over the type of normal shots we all get (And the elderly get more frequently), they can bruise over a minor slip of some kind, even with just the hand. On the other hand, so to speak, a bruise directly on that particular limb could be due to a few problematic things, not the least of which is using that hand aggressively on another, or just punching a wall – instead of throwing ketchup-filled plates. Whatever it is, the Daily Beast reports that something happened and Trump is doing his best, unsuccessfully, to hide it:
The mysterious recurring bruise on the back of Donald Trump’s right hand reappeared on Tuesday, prompting a fresh wave of concern over the president’s health. Trump, 79, was spotted with a healthy dose of flesh-colored concealer on his hand as he was photographed boarding Marine One at the White House on his way to Pittsburgh. Trump was speaking to reporters about Russian President Vladimir Putin when a cameraman spotted his hand and zoomed in for a closer look.
White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt told the Daily Beast that the bruise is due to the president’s serial handshaking. When asked if any medical reasons could explain the bruise, Leavitt said, “President Trump is a man of the people and he meets more Americans and shakes their hands on a daily basis than any other President in history. His commitment is unwavering and he proves that every single day.”
Strong possibility Trump could be on blood thinners . Yes aggressive hand shaking causing unnecessary bruising . Trump refused to show his real medical records . It could be hiding A cardiology problem . share.newsbreak.com/brjjdtdu

Not surprising to get another lie. No president shook more hands than Joe Biden – though trying to measure such is folly; they all shake more than enough hands to bruise them in certain extreme situations. The thing is, shaking hands is something Trump has done for the last ten years – indeed, the germaphobe hated doing so early in his career and probably shakes fewer hands.
Alas, that’s not the point. Yes, he can suddenly bruise, but it’s unlikely by handshake only, unless he is suddenly more prone to bruising, and that opens up an entire door to explanations best left to doctors. I won’t speculate. All have to do with being elderly and liberal use of medications – most likely.
I will note that the bruising is obvious even under the concealer. If it’s all normal and due to something as fantastic as shaking hands, why go to such lengths to try to hide it?

So that happened. Feel free to speculate as to the cause. We all know the underlying fear. It is due to him hitting someone, which is not out of the realm of possibility. We can’t know and won’t likely ever know.

possibly from some sort of I.V. treatment. happens to me all the time.
There’s no way that bruise would be from a handshake no matter how “vigorous” or frequent. LOOK at the shape. It’s ROUND.
Of course, bruises can be round but that usually indicates a solid blow against something but for Trump to have a large round bruise on the back of his hand, he’s letting the other person use both hands (with the left hand pressing very strongly against Drumpf’s hand–either that or the other person’s literally slapping the back of Drumpf’s hand during the “shake”).
I’ve got some personal expertise to add here. Several years ago I had a medical issue that resulted in two hospitalizations. Each time I was on various IVs at the same time so they used one of those delivery options that puts a big effing needle in a vein in the back of the hand. Hurts some. Especially in my case when one particular drug was fed into it. The point is that it caused two things – swelling and discoloration. That swelling is clearly visible with Trump and this isn’t the first time we’ve seen this. THAT is a pretty clear indication he undergoes some type of treatment that has him hooked up to multiple IVs at the same time, ergo the periodic swelling. He’s being treated for chronic medical conditions. Of that I’m sure.
The second point goes to the bruising. That trip to the ER that led to the first of those two hospitalizations led to me being admitted for a hearth related issue. Thankfully it was easily treated and my hearth matters are well-managed and under control. However I wound up being diagnosed with A-Fib and placed on a blood thinner. And boy has THAT led to some interesting stuff. Due to my neuropathy I’m quite prone to falls. It’s an every day thing for me but I’m usually able to stop myself from falling all the way to the floor. Long before A-fib and the heart stuff I had this problem and learned to navigate my apt. using furniture and walls to avoid hard falls. Sometimes I do take a hard fall and some of the bruises have been spectacularly colorful. A large area with splotches of deep purple and yellow that takes weeks to fade.
More common are bruises to my hands and arms, and yes the BACK of a hand because sometimes as I loose my balance I flail a bit and rather than softening the contact with a wall or counter-top with my fingers (spreading to my entire palm) I bang the back of my hand. In fact as I write this I still have decent sized bruise on the back of my right hand that’s only faded some in in the past couple of days – after a week of it grabbing my attention every time I’m at my keyboard.
We see Trump clearly having difficulty getting around. Add in those lifts he wears to make himself seem taller than he actually is and I can’t help but think he stumbles quite a bit like I do and bangs himself the same way I do. I wouldn’t be the least bit surprised if he’s got some lower extremity neuropathy of his own (although not as bad as mine) AND that he’s on a blood thinner because he too has A-fib. (and who knows what else?)
I have zero doubt that if I wound up in the hospital again and they used the back-of-the-hand IV technique I’d wind up with a hand looking exactly like Trumpty’s does from time to time. Swollen and with a big-ass bruise. Just like we see in those pictures.
The asshole DOES have medical issues that aren’t being reported. I get that Presidents, especially older ones want to limit what’s released. The WH press corps has ALWAYS been easily distracted with ‘shiny objects’ and even minor stuff that’s no big deal that affects a President’s ability to do their job or is worrisome in the sense they are at significant risk of becoming incapacitated or worse will get blown up into just that.
Biden was served badly by his aides convincing him to hide having broken his foot in a fall from his bike. Worse, he admits to NOT having followed doctor’s orders during his rehab and so it got more notice that the same guy who bounded up steps and ramps was walking slowly and carefully. Had they just been honest from the get-go the narrative of a suddenly aged Joe Biden wouldn’t have taken off the way it did. But it WAS allowed to fester and his public-lifelong history of verbal gaffes (due to his stutter – and an actual smart brain that worked faster than his mouth could) got blown all the hell out of proportion. And you all saw what happened.
Having made such a BFD about Biden’s health Trump and his people who have what seem like more serious health issues (with Trump) to deal with will fight like hell to conceal medical issues. Including actual serious ones. Neuropathy isn’t really treatable. Once the mylen on the nerves is damages or gone there’s no drug/treatment that restores it. The best you can do is avoid things that make it worse and faster. A-Fib is also easily managed IF one does what the doctors say to do. Trump of course will ignore doctors and do whatever the hell he wants so HIS A-fib isn’t as well managed as it should be. I’d be willing to be he’s also got Type-2 Diabetes, and that isn’t being managed as well as it should be too!
We make cracks about his diet and other bad habits. Basically that he’s a heart attack waiting to happen. That might be closer to the truth than we think.
But getting back to where I started that swollen bruise on his hand is from an IV. A serious one and since it’s not the first time someone’s gotten a good photo of it that means there’s stuff going on with Trumpty’s health they have been hiding. CHRONIC stuff.
As Joseph said, there’s no way that bruise could have shown up from shaking hands. It’s not even close to where the thumb would be pressing. I saw that right away and I had only read the title! So there’s something going on with the reappearing bruising. That one looks pretty fresh, too. It’s not easily explained away since it’s happened before. Try all the spin you want, KKKaroline. We know better.
I’m guessing the bruising is because he’s taking a blood thinner because of a current or remote cardiac and/or cerebrovascular event. He still drags his right leg when he walks.
While I’d love to share in hypotheticals…he put foundation on his hand to cover up the bruise he got from getting an IV in his hand. The IV could be ANYTHING and lots of them completely innocuous and necessary. He could have gotten a little heat stroke golfing…for a guy at least 100# overweight, I would NOT be surprised if they just give him IV’s after a day on the course. It could have been something for imaging anything from upper GI to colonoscopy. And let’s get nasty and talk about meds from sexually transmitted diseases that are given via IV. That ‘thing’ is foundation covering a bruise he got from an IV. PERIOD.
