If there’s any doubt in your mind that you’re living in a deranged reality TV show, starring a lunatic, just pop over to the White House official X account. It reads like a 12-year-old programmed it and in fact that could be the case for ought that we know. The post disparaging Jimmy Gomez (CA-34) is particularly distasteful. It would be appropriate coming from a MAGA who was aspiring to be the next Catturd. But from the White House? From the official social media account of our government, meant to represent all the people? This is appalling. But get used to it. This is how this account works and it doesn’t look like that’s going to change any time soon, except to get worse.

That an official White House account would target a congressman for harassment like this is beyond the pale. But it is normal in this misadministration. This is the face we present to the world and we are a laughingstock. I hope and pray that we can eventually live this down.

He’s right about one thing. That’s all they’re talking about is the United States. But not because we’re the hottest country but because we’re a flaming joke.

At least they give him something of a belly here, although the face and jaw is the usual youthful perfection. Now are you ready for it to get really weird? The Department of Agriculture has terminated people who might be “spies” who want to contaminate our food supply. This is coming from the White House, folks, not from some maniac on a 4Chan board, talking to the QAnon crowd.

After a thorough investigation, @USDA has terminated 70+ contractors and visiting scientists who have citizenship from countries of concern.

The tweet ends: “technology, and, in recent cases, smuggle dangerous biological materials that would threaten to destroy our food and supply chains. This decision was made out of an abundance of caution, and there are no known threats at this time.” Which is a way of saying we fired people out of some bizarre suspicion, devoid of fact, just for the hell of it, even though we have zero evidence that anything like this is going on.

This is horrific. This is what America voted for last November. I am embarrassed to be an American.
