I’ll make this short and sweet. We have another entry in the ‘You Can’t Make This Stuff Up’ Sweepstakes and it’s a good one. Once upon a time there was a Trump/MAGA mouthpiece channel that went by the name America’s Voice. In 2020 it rebranded to the name Real America’s Voice. Why you ask? Because Trumpty with his ‘very fine brain’ kept confusing it with Voice of America!
Remember, this was back in Trumpty’s FIRST term. It’s not exactly new his brain-housing-group wasn’t in working order even then but still… In any case I have a feeling once Trumpty learns about this article from The Daily Beast he’ll be making a call. Said call will result in the end of Gina Loudon’s career even though she’s a nice looking blonde gal like you see with RWNJ media outlets. She sat down for a chat with none other than Kari Lake and boy did she open up a can of worms:
“Fun little fact, that I’m not sure I’ve ever even told you, is that when I first started working for Real America’s Voice, it was just called America’s Voice,” Loudon told the former Fox News anchor. “And I asked President Trump if I could come to the White House and talk to him about it.”
Loudon said that she and right-wing journalist John Solomon, who helped craft Trump’s Ukraine conspiracy that falsely accused the nation of interfering in the 2016 U.S. presidential election, “made their pitch” for what they saw as “our vision for Real America’s Voice.”
Loudon talked about how they were in the middle of their rebranding, noting hearing about how Trumpty kept confusing Voice of America with America’s voice and that the two ‘weren’t related at all. Well DUH! At least she got that particular fact right. She made it crystal clear what the situation was and what her network/channel did about it:
According to Loudon, Trump would get the right-wing outlet mixed up with the government-funded radio network, Voice of America VOA), which Loudon claimed produced content that was “destructive to this nation.”
“It was confusing at the beginning, and thus we rebranded to Real America’s Voice,” she continued. “And President Trump definitely knows the difference at this point, but it was confusing.”
I think that last sentence was Loudon suddenly realizing she might have stepped in it. So she tried to walk back all the earlier stuff about Trumpty being confused. Riddle me this ‘Batshit Crazy Reporter Gal’: If he wasn’t confused then why did your outlet have to go through all the trouble of rebranding with a new name? She said plenty that if it makes the rounds on social media the way I hope it will is going to embarrass Trumpty. Come to think of it Kari Lake might catch some hell for not burning every bit of video recordings and signing any crew to NDAs so this would never, ever EVER come out.
So again, it’s not like we didn’t know Trumpty was an idiot, and that he’s devolving right before our eyes. Still, this story from a journalist on HIS side about goings on five freaking years ago is a sort of funny indicator that he was that far gone even back then.
