Well, as every news site and Xitter account has told you, he bombed the nuclear enrichment sites in Iran. Against, mind you, the wishes of most of the American people and Congress. His own intel said there was no proof that Iran was building nuclear bombs. He was working with Iran through diplomacy. He went ahead anyhow, and we are in a bigger mess, on top of the state of our country. We are at war. Comments from Raw Story:
Donald Trump faced furious pushback from observers late on Saturday as the president announced a foreign military strike. Trump announced the dropping of bombs on Iran on his social media site, Truth Social. He said the U.S. dropped a “full payload of BOMBS… on the primary site, Fordow.”
Now, WTF is he doing announcing it on his TRUTH SOCIAL account? He couldn’t be bothered to call a press conference right away? No, he announced it on social media. Again, I say, WTF? Sure, he called a press conference later. Still! I’m pissed about the bombing, but this takes the cake. On the other hand, it’s so, so Trumpy to go to social media first. Geesh.
One GOP lawmaker declared the action was unconstitutional. Other political experts and commentators were quick to hit Trump with criticism. A popular investor who goes by @jason wrote on X, “Five months into Trump’s term, we’re at war.” Conservative attorney and anti-Trump activist George Conway said the act may be illegal. “It’s not possible to fairly assess the wisdom of the U.S. strikes on Iran without access to information that intelligence agencies would have,” Conway acknowledged before adding, “This was an act of war, and arguably illegal under domestic and international law.”
Yeeeeeaaaaaah. This is going to ripple outwards and catch a lot of people in it. I don’t think it matters if it’s illegal. The bombs have already dropped. There’s no going back now. And there’s no telling what terrorist acts could be committed on American soil. El Presidente Imbécil is in deep shizzle here at home with all the crap he’s done, or *not* done. This is going to blow away any diplomatic work we’ve been doing. And he’s in deep shizzle from the rest of the world. A question might be, is he in deep shizzle with ALL of Congress? Interesting thought. Hmmmmm.
Putin didn’t want this, and now we’ve attacked one of his allies. He has an *unvetted* person in a high-ranking position next to Agent Orange. Other Pz folks have written about that. We will have a second mess coming down from Russia. If we’re lucky, he’ll forget about Ukraine and be working towards what he can do over here. If we’re not lucky, he’s going to step up the bombing. We don’t know. I think we *do* know that he’s looking at actions he can take.
I’m wondering if Iran is going to break off negotiations. It wouldn’t be a surprise. This was unwarranted, and they know that. They may be looking at what they can do over here. They’re certainly looking at how fast they can build new uranium enrichment sites. Now they may very well want to build a bomb. After all, turnabout is fair play, right? I also expect them to step up their attacks on Israel.
Ex-Republican strategist Tara Setmayer said, “So, Trump, the most incompetent insane president in history, just bombed Iran without Congressional approval. Now what?” She added, “The implications of this are vast…God help us.” State Rep. Ruwa Romman, the lone Palestinian-American member of the Georgia legislature, said, “This illegal action is opposed by the majority of Americans, will put us all in danger, and only benefits weapons manufacturers and war mongers.” Veteran White House reporter Brian J. Karem chimed in, “You just started a war without Congressional authorization or even a shred of understanding, and you are demanding the end of it?” “Where will this all end?” Karem asked on Saturday.
Indeed, where will this all end? Only time will tell. That’s the worst part, really. We have no idea what’s going to happen next. So now, we’re waiting. Waiting. Who knows? Thanks for sticking with me!

We thank all of you who have donated. You’re keeping this blog on the internet, believe me. One of the battles we fight is the inconsistency of ad revenue because politics in this country is so polarized, and a lot of advertisers just seek to avoid the political. They’d rather advertise on food blogs and be safe, doughnuts before democracy. All we’re trying to do is stay in business because we believe the work is important. Thank you if you can assist. If we didn’t need it, we wouldn’t be asking. Ursula
