And indeed, they are protesting. They are saying to stop storming buildings for immigrants. They are saying to stop grabbing immigrants at their court dates. They are asking us to remember they are *people*, not “just” immigrants or US citizens. With the way tRump is trying to handle things, they are saying our country is a democracy, not a dictatorship. They are saying Stop! Stop the madness and the escalation against us. Okay, I rambled with a train of thought intro.
What brought this on? It’s a short article I picked up from Kris Bramwell of BBC News. I’m glad I read it because the person speaking was *there* at the protests. This young lady had some very interesting things to say. It was amazing to have a true viewpoint, heh, instead of Agent Orange’s drivel. So here we go!
“As a first-generation Mexican-American, I felt a responsibility to show up and use my voice – not just for myself, but for the people who aren’t in a position to speak up,” she tells the BBC.
“What stood out to me wasn’t just the size of the crowd, but the energy – there was this urgent, unified feeling among everyone there. “It felt like more than a protest,” she says. “It was a collective call to action, not just in LA, but across the country.”
“What happened yesterday wasn’t just a reaction — it was a reflection of how many of us feel unheard and are ready to be part of shaping a better future.”
Very interesting, yes? This came from a *protester*. She was *there*. So, how did it turn into this giant mess that Trumpolini is trying to use as an excuse to use to be able to put martial law in place? I don’t know. I’ve already theorized about that in another piece, so no need to repeat it here.
Here’s hoping the governor and mayor can get people to calm down and “just” protest. Let me remind you that they are there, *at* the protests. I’m worried that El Presidente Imbécil will keep up with the inflammatory drivel to make the world outside of LA think the people protesting are actually trying to pull a coup when they are doing nothing that isn’t an exercise of their First Amendment rights. Well, with what they were doing at first. Then it became a mess due to bad decisions.
But! It’s nowhere *near* the actual insurrection that Trumpelthinskin generated and watched for HOURS without doing anything about it! No matter what he says, there are major differences between a protest, or protest getting out of hand due to law enforcement’s lack of thought, and a damn insurrection! *That* is a subject I could rant about for hours. But it’s really not here or there, so time to close. Thanks for sticking with me!
