It seems that market observers have been having too much fun coming up with acronyms to describe tRump, his methods, and what he does (or doesn’t) do. Now, I’m sure all of you are aware of the latest one. If not, well, it’s TACO – Trump Always Chickens Out. That is so, so applicable to Agent Orange and his stupid-ass tariffs. Those things infuriate me!
The extra costs hit the people in the pocketbooks, including his rabid MAGA sycophants. A few of them have learned to run in the opposite direction. It’s a pity more of them haven’t. It’s likely they won’t, not unless the Cheeto Prophet does something so major and SO STUPID that there’s no way to ignore it. And so, they pray to their “god” and wonder why he isn’t answering.
But! Back to the fun part, with the acronyms. I’ll show you a couple of them, including one which is actually my favorite. I’m trying to figure out how to get a hat with it. Are you ready? Ha, I knew you were! From Reuters via Yahoo News:
** MAGA (Make America Go Away) – While the original Trump Trade was also known as the MAGA trade, this variation cribbed the president’s motto, first appearing in response to Vice President JD Vance’s brief and unfruitful visit to Greenland, the autonomous territory of Denmark, which Trump has expressed interest in annexing. At least one Canadian investor says that quip is making the rounds of trading desks in Toronto and Montreal and sparking “wishful thinking” about simply boycotting U.S. investments.
I’m kinda thinking everyone who is *not* a Trump fan might want to get one of these, just like I do. The first thing I did once I saw it was to go search and see if anyone here was making them. The answer to that is “not right away” because they *are* being made now.(I finally went and checked.) Although, I can’t decide if I want a hat or a t shirt, since both are now available. I’m sure I’ll figure it out. Here you are with another.
** MEGA (Make Europe Great Again) – Mega was first coined last year to address European competitiveness, resurfaced this Spring as a way to describe the flurry of investor interest in and flows into European markets. MEGA hats, spoofing their MAGA counterparts, are easily purchased online. It’s been revived by investors and traders in light of the outperformance of European stocks in the immediate aftermath of Trump’s “Liberation Day” tariffs bombshell.
This is also fabulous! I hadn’t seen this before I read the article. There are others I’ve chosen not to include, but I’m sure you can find them if you wish. We’ll close with the “response” from the White House.
When reached for comment, White House spokesman Kush Desai said in an email “these asinine acronyms convey how unserious analysts have consistently beclowned themselves by mocking President Trump and his agenda that’ve already delivered multiple expectation-beating jobs and inflation reports, trillions in investment commitments, a historic UK trade agreement, and rising consumer confidence.”
H0 H0 H0. For one, consumer confidence is NOT going up, unless I’m missing something. Expectation-beating inflation reports? Not so much. I guess they can’t admit things aren’t going well. Oops. Spin, spin, spin, fail, fail, fail. Awwwww. Thanks for sticking with me!

Friends, we’re in a dark passage here. We started losing traffic last November, when the entire country got fed up with politics. Added to that have been my health problems over the past two months. We’re falling behind financially. If you can help in any way, it would be appreciated. I’m doing my best to get back in the saddle again. Thank you. Ursula

he had to comment so that means they hate being ridiculed!
