Y’all, she let him HAVE IT. I consider Jasmine Crockett as one of the few people who will tell it like it is and not be sorry about it. What she says is because she *knows* she’s right. Now, the *way* she says it isn’t always the usual political style, but it’s part of her and the emphasis we all need because she speaks truth. AOC and Bernie Sanders do, too. We need MORE Democrats to do so, since you *know* a Republican will toe the (bullpoop) party line. I wonder why more Democrats aren’t daring to speak up because it’s not going to hurt them in a (slim margin) Republican controlled Congress. But that might be for another time. Hopefully. Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-Texas) on Sunday suggested President Donald Trump belongs in an “insane asylum” and recommended medication. While the firebrand lawmaker’s over-the-top insults may breach political correctness, they certainly make memorable sound bites.
On MSNBC’s “Alex Witt Reports,” she tore apart Trump’s West Point graduation speech in which he veered off into “trophy wives,” transgender women in sports, and the numerous criminal investigations against him.
“He literally sounds like someone who has broken out of the insane asylum,” Crockett said in reacting to clips of his speech. “Like he’d just be all over the place. Like, get him some ADHD medicine, if nothing else, because I don’t know where he’s ever gonna go.”
Ha. WHAM. Well said, Jasmine. How many of the rest of us have wondered something similar? The thought alone of tRump’s reaction when he hears about this, IF he hears about this, is absolutely delicious. I’m betting he won’t hear about it, that his people will make sure he doesn’t, which is a pity. It would be a good thing for him to hear, and for getting his reaction, if only via a Truth Social rant. We’re talking high entertainment value.
She was just getting warmed up.
“I don’t think that those that have gone through West Point expected to have their commander in chief address them and start talking about trophy wives, or start talking about how he had so many investigations,” she added. “What a great reminder that you are not qualified to be the person that potentially will command us as troops to go into war. Like that is not instilling confidence whatsoever. And honestly, our troops deserve better. Our graduates deserve better. We as a country deserve better. And frankly, if we are going to ever be seen as the world leaders that we historically have been, the world deserves better.”
She concluded, “It is time for Republicans to start calling him out and start questioning his mental acuity and whether or not he is equipped to serve mentally. We know when it comes down to his criminality, he is not qualified to serve, but this is just deplorable.”
Got that right! Deplorable. A new, and perfect, description. I’m betting that Republicans *will* hear about this. Well, if it makes even one of them think, it would be worth it. We do know that there are some Republicans who are *very* unhappy with the Big Ugly Bill. The little bit that has leaked definitely shows we should ALL be worried about it. Crockett recently zinged Trump and his administration for hiring so many Fox News personalities.
“Frankly, it is sad that we do have to go through this kind of political theater because, listen, we all know what it is — that’s why they hired everybody from Fox News because all they’re trying to do is put on for a show,” she said. “This is not ‘The Apprentice’ show.”
This is not “The America” show either – far from it. We’re stuck with this for a total of 4 years. I’m definitely still wondering if the country is going to survive it. I have no idea. I’m afraid of what might come out of El Presidente Imbécil next. I’m afraid of what stupid thing Hegseth will reveal next. But I’m not afraid of our country. We are better than our so-called leaders, and come hell or high water, we should stay that way! Thanks for sticking with me!

Friends, we’re in a dark passage here. We started losing traffic last November, when the entire country got fed up with politics. Added to that have been my health problems over the past two months. 525 days until the 2026 midterm elections when the Blues are going to beat out the Teds and Congress will be OURS for the rest of tRump’s miserable term. And then another ninety or so days until all those beautiful Democrats are sworn in. It seems like forever away, and it’s hard to imagine how much damage he and his minions (Stephen Miller, I’m glaring at YOU!) can do. But if we survive it, and rebuild, I believe the world will welcome us back with open arms. I’m an optimist! But I also believe God is in control, so He’s looking out for us too!
If God is in control, then He’s responsible for the awful mess we’re in at the moment!
I thought it was a bit ironic to read this in the quoted piece:

I mean, Drumpf CONSTANTLY spews “over-the-top insults” that definitely “breach political correctness” but *he* is never challenged, much less criticized by “media” types.
Unfortunately for all the rest of us, there is one person who believes this is ‘The America Show’, and worse, he is the ‘star’ of it.
