Golly gee, someone seems to be on a short fuse these days, well, shorter than usual. His battle with a certain newspaper seems to be escalating. That’s a bit of a surprise, all things considered. I thought it was one of his favorites, but apparently not anymore. This makes me giggle. And you know he just can’t keep his yap shut, right?
Yup, that would be tRump and the Wall Street Journal. “It’s the latest flashpoint between Trump and the Rupert Murdoch-owned publication, which despite its conservative leaning has in recent months flamed the Cheeto Prophet on multiple occasions — most notably over his trade policies and market-spooking tariffs, which it dubbed “The Dumbest Trade War In History.” I have to say, that’s pretty much spot on to me. The dumbest trade war in history. That’s a pretty succinct description of all this tariff nonsense, that’s hurting us *much* more than anyone else.
It’s also driving trade partners away from us. China is courting places that have been our allies for quite some time, that have also been punished with exorbitant tariff rates that will be kicking in when the 90-day pause ends. Japan and South Korea come to mind right off the top of my head. If we don’t want to accept products from them because they have a 145% upcharge on them, they’ll find places that do. We really don’t need to have China stepping in.
But *ahem*, back to my original topic. (This will teach me to write at 1:30 in the morning.) So, tRump is mad at the Wall Street Journal. Here’s how the conversation went as it was told to the news.
Donald Trump flipped out at a journalist for The Wall Street Journal on board Air Force One on Sunday.
The journalist drew Trump’s ire after asking about talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin amid the U.S. president’s effort to broker peace between Russia and Ukraine over the former’s invasion of the latter.
Trump asked which outlet the reporter worked for, a tactic he’s resorted to frequently during his second term.
When told the Journal, he then railed: “That’s what I thought. Boy, you people treat us so badly. Wall Street Journal has truly gone to hell. Go ahead, yeah. Rotten newspaper. You hear me? What I said? It’s a rotten newspaper.”
Trump then told the journalist to “go ahead” with the question, but refused to answer. “I wouldn’t tell The Wall Street Journal because it’d be wasting my time. There are talks, but I don’t want to talk to The Wall Street Journal. Look, Wall Street Journal is China-oriented, and they’re really bad for this country.”
You don’t like being called out on what you’re doing, do you Trumpy? Ha, ha, too bad for you! You don’t like it when someone else is right, huh? This conversation made me giggle far more than I expected. It’s so nice to hear about this when it makes the news. Oh, and there’s a lot more coming down the pike because of all the stupid things you’ve done with your Executive Orders. Time to pay the piper! Thanks for sticking with me!

The irony is that the only country trump hasn’t tariffed is Russia, the country that every other civilized country on Earth has sanctioned and a pariah to the world’s financial community. I think Murdoch and many of the oligarchs have lost a ton of money in the market and want to drive a spike through the heart of the monster they helped create. It’s only a matter time and the demented orange ogre knows it.
I wish they’d hurry up already.

Yea, tRump is running out of ways to spin things. I think that’s part of the reason he had such a fit. I’m pretty sure that he didn’t think ahead at all to realize what his actions would cause. He’s living on borrowed time.
I think that’s a large percentage of his disability. (Stupidity and senility cover the rest.) He doesn’t know HOW to “think ahead.” Even when people tell him that the results will be A, B, and C, he simply doesn’t comprehend it.
I’m 100% with StarWatcher, the Mango Moron’s self-delusion and stupidity, which pretty well covers all the other “qualities” we’ve attributed to him have combined to leave him unable to grasp the depth of hole he’s digging for himself and the country.
There IS a minority point of view I saw posited on the web a few days days ago that President PHFO (PAINTS HIS FACE ORANGE) is actually working to destroy the U.S.A. for having rejected him in 2020.
