Multiple court cases are not coming out the way the government thought they would be. Too bad. Judges are fair and impartial, and how did you think you could get away with these things? A judge can tell when you’re spouting BS. A judge can tell when you aren’t following the law, and they will slap you down so hard you will be sitting on the ground wondering what just happened.
Let‘s start with delay, delay, delay. There is a court order telling the government to unfreeze the aid they have for their charity work across the world. We have children who are starving. We have sick people that can’t get any medicine. Those are two examples. So the government didn’t unfreeze the money. This is ignoring a court order. That was supposed to be done weeks ago. But it hasn’t happened yet.
The plaintiffs and the judge in the foreign aid case have accused the government of stonewalling. And the plaintiffs in cases regarding the suspension of refugee program funding charged the administration with failing to fully comply with court orders. The court ordered for the third time to free the funding by midnight Wednesday since the Justice Department couldn’t tell him what steps they’d taken to comply. And now the government is saying it will take “weeks” to unfreeze the money. That’s ridiculous. Then they finally turned to the Supreme Court and were issued a stay. I fail to see how this could be done, to stop lower courts in their tracks when they are following the law and the government isn’t. It angers me. Stonewalling.
Here’s a “your actions are illegal”. A Federal judge on Thursday ruled that OPM has to rescind a memo and email telling agencies to get rid of probationary employees. The directions, in a January 20 memo and February 14 email, “are illegal” and should be “stopped and rescinded”. Whoa. I hadn’t actually known anything about this one. I had only seen the news about the government trying to stop the aid programs. I try to follow pretty closely on what’s happening in the US and this stunned me. So they are supposed to be able to go back to work. I’ll bet they have to re-think office leases and equipment for all those reinstated people. I would certainly go back to work, but be job hunting outside of that because they could very well find some specious reason to fire me again. This back and forth is going to shoot the employees’ stress levels through the roof.
Here we go with more DOGe restrictions finally! A federal judge in Maryland issued a temporary restraining order barring OPM and the Department of Education from allowing personnel with Elon Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency from accessing records with sensitive personal information. This follows one blocking DOGe from access to the Treasury personal information. I’m pretty sure they’ve already managed to get into Social Security. I don’t want these KIDS to stick their fingers into my business. Remembering they are “upgrading” systems with new programs and leaving back doors, I expect. That just can’t be trusted. But this is a personal beef of mine so I’ll hush on this for now.
Ah. Goodie. ICE has been barred from illegal immigrant raids around certain places of worship. They filed a suit to challenge new policies allowing such raids. The previous policy, BT (before tRump) had protection for “sensitive locations” such as churches, from illegal immigrant enforcement (raids) without special approval. This one has been in place since the 1990’s. However, this is not a blanket order. It is only for specific churches. But it’s a start. It’s a start from ICE tearing through anywhere and everywhere they feel like doing so just to terrorize people. And remember they are pulling legal, as well as illegal, immigrants to send back. Sheesh!
So we do have a start on pushing back against the Mango Messiah and Muskrat. I wonder just how many judges are pissed about this nonsense but can’t *do* anything until, if and when, it comes to their courts. There are honest, law-driven judges who are pushing back. We need to do so, too, however we can.

I am thankful, Susan, that you are keeping up with the judges’ rulings. It is so easy to lose sight of these slap-backs while the “zone is being flooded” with crap! Our government is no longer in the habit of following court orders, but your stories help us to know what to protest about. ✊️
If it makes the news, I eventually find it. There were more cases in the article but I didn’t want to oversaturate. They’re certainly relevant to what’s going on in the US and a certain pair of people who think they are gods. Hmmmm I should start tracking these.
