The old cliche, “if his lips are moving, he’s lying,” applies to a lot of people but up until now they have never applied to the holder of the highest office in the land. Trump is adamant about knifing Ukraine, undermining NATO, and making his idol, Vladimir Putin, happy with him. This is tragic in the extreme because it represents a multi-generational realignment of democratic values and alliances, globally. And to make it worse, there appears to be no communication between Trump and his administration as to what is actually taking place, or he wouldn’t have gotten caught out in this baldfaced of a lie. Or, he wouldn’t have spoken so soon.
Trump is a pathological liar, example #8567.

Yes, I know. Trump complaining about somebody else being “rude” is faint-producing on its face. Maybe he should look at his own behavior afterwards. It’s all on video. And to report 100% of the truth, it’s been said on Twit/X that Zelensky was unavailable right when Bessent arrived but clearly he became available at a later time. That may be on Bessent. I can’t find any details of an itinerary and when the two men were supposed to meet, but Bessent was traveling in a war zone and that’s not the same as going first place in time of peace.
But whatever minor scheduling snafu, Ukraine is at war. Zelensky is its commander in chief. The man can be forgiven for putting his duties first and getting to Bessent at his earliest convenience. I don’t see that as “rude” I see it as realistic under trying circumstances.

This is how screwed we are. This, and the fact that Tulsi Gabbard is in charge of American intelligence. I can only hope and pray that there are patriots within the system who are safeguarding the system for future, better days to come. If there are not, then we may have no future. This may be it.

Well, Melania was born in the then-Yugoslavia which wasn’t exactly on the best of terms with the Soviets what with Tito and his penchant for pursuing his own version of Communism, and all, and it’s not very likely that Tito would’ve allowed a member of HIS Communist Party (not even the Slovenian branch) have any communications with the Russians without getting approval from Tito (Tito’s internal security machine might not have been as well-known or -feared as the KGB or the Stasi but, given Tito had ZERO opposition that was known to Western intelligence–whereas the Russians changed leaders four or five times, if I’m not mistaken, after Tito split with Stalin in 1948–I can’t imagine Tito didn’t have his fair share of eyes all around the country).
Now, she might have been recruited after Slovenia became independent during her “modeling” career but the report as stated indicates Trump was recruited in 1987–about a decade before Melania and Trump supposedly crossed paths.
It seems unbelievable that things have got so much more unhinged in just the last few days. I was already very worried for your country, and now it’s worse. I don’t know what else to say, but felt I had to say something.
