The Furkids love The Beatles music, so they’re delighted to have the opportunity to celebrate the 61st anniversary of the group’s first tour of America. On February 9, 1964, The Beatles’ first performance on American soil was their epic appearance on the Ed Sullivan Show. We’re here to celebrate that first on its sixty-first anniversary.

But which song to choose?

It had to be something from the playlist on that historic tour but which one? They found it very hard to choose between so many songs. After a lengthy discussion, they narrowed it down to six songs, then to four. It was quite a drama, I can tell you!

Eventually, they whittled that down to two before finally settling on “From Me To You.”

They tell me a nice old man named Paul gave them the coins for the jukebox this week so it’s primed and ready to go. Just get comfy, press play, scroll down to the lyrics and sing along!

  1. 😳😲 I was a 9 year-old when I watched the Beatles on Sullivan. I liked the music and so did my Dad who was sitting next to me. But, I didn’t understand then or now what the screaming was all about! I’m a girl who doesn’t understand girls! Loud applause, foot stamping, raised arms with the accompanying “woof woof” yelling, even jumping on seats until security tells you to cut it out! But, shrill screaming I just don’t get! It’s a music group; not Leatherface coming at you with a chainsaw!! 🤣🤷‍♀️
🥰 Kitties and puppos hugging and kissing in quietude is a much better response than screaming any day of the week!! 💝

  2. Celebrity worship has been going on for many decades, it just got louder & the Girls YOUNGER in the 60’s. I and my girl friend(both 19) watched this at home & laughed at the silly girls!
