Not sure who put pressure on where. The Cheesy Poof Traitor Tot is declaring victory. Maybe Columbia (the country) just wanted to calm this the hell down until DonOld got over it and turned his attention elsewhere. We know he has a short memory. Let’s hope this one slips out fast, and no one reminds him about it because things are just going to keep happening.
Columbia has agreed to migrant flights in both military and civilian aircraft. I’m not sure who backed down but I hope it was The Child when he realized something – tariffs on them mean tariffs on us. (Or someone reminded him of it.) That doesn’t exactly support America’s Golden Age, right? They are not the only ones who have said tariffs on us, tariffs on you. Maybe he finally realized he needed to change the way he handles things…naaaah. Not going to happen. So we can likely look forward to DonOld threatening with tariffs, then getting threatened back, and maybe, possibly, he backs down a bit and rephrases it so he can call it a victory. He said he was going to bring grocery prices down. He can’t do that if there’s a tariff war with a supplier.
You notice he’s been quiet about Greenland, right? Since Denmark told him to eff off, he’s been surprisingly quiet about it. He’s been quiet about a couple of major things he was talking about last week. I guess he might have been getting writer’s cramp from all the things he’s signed so he’s talked a little less than usual … Nah, we could hope but it’s highly unlikely. We haven’t heard him whine about that yet. He could certainly spin it, though. “My hand is cramping from signing all my Executive Orders to make things better for you.” Hmmmm. Maybe I ought not say that too loud where he could find out about it. Heh.
And one of the things he refuses to see since he shut down the CDC and others is that egg prices are going to *skyrocket*. He doesn’t see that avian flu, for which there is finally a vaccine, is hitting egg producers really hard. Instead of trying to do something about it, he ignores it and hopes it will go away. It could, just after the death of all the poultry in the country. And then the chances of it jumping to humans are pretty good. We’re already seeing human cases reported. But this isn’t a major thing, right? Well, it’s major since you promised to bring egg prices down. Maybe it’s not as bad as Covid, but it could still lay out a whole lot of the people who put you in office. So now he might have twice as much fun, spinning and lying and continuing to reject the truth. He does so well at it. I sincerely hope it doesn’t get as bad as Covid. And I’m angry that I can’t get the vaccine.
Okay, what subject change shall I choose next…..alrighty, here, have a quote: The House Oversight and Government Reform Committee announced an investigation into the policies of sanctuary cities Monday and invited the mayors of four sanctuary city jurisdictions to testify before congress next month. House Committee Chair James Comer, a Republican from Kentucky, sent letters to the mayors of Boston, Chicago, Denver and New York City and requested documents and information related to those cities’ policies. CNN has reached out to the offices of New York City Mayor Eric Adams, Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson, Denver Mayor Mike Johnston and Boston Mayor Michelle Wu. It’s off a list of articles so I can’t link to it. My apologies.
******And now, please read a very special message from our awesome boss:******
Friends, I am forced to self-promote and ask you for money. We had a bad year compared with 2023 and the end of the year has been catastrophic. Traffic died on November 5. We’re going to hear more about this, so we need a spelling correction. The South American country is Colombia rather than Columbia. It’s similar to the difference between Capitol and Capital. I happen to know and work/volunteer with someone who grew up in Colombia, came here as an exchange student, stayed and married and is now a grandmother.
Ohhhhh well color me embarrassed Thank you very much for the correction!
A good question is why the headline writer didn’t correct the misspelling in the article. How did the headline writer come up with that headline without having seen the name in the article?
It’s called I messed up, but now I know better. My apologies!
