Oh stupidity, let me count the ways, it’s just day 2 and I’m already insane. What is this fool DOING? Yea, we can start with the pardons or commutations. Every single person charged… There are certain people that it worries me about having them getting back out on the streets again – sedition anyone? Bat sh*t crazy, anyone? Who will they be going after and how soon? I can think of one right away – that would be the awesome Judge Chutkan. There are probably multiple people who would like to get some of their own back with her and I know she handled a fair amount of cases.
And then we have the continuing threats about taking the Panama Canal back. Pretty sure it could only be done by force and that would make for an ugly, ugly scenario. But *laugh* he punted the tariffs on Canada and Mexico until February 1. With any luck, he’ll keep pushing them off and it will eventually fade away. Your continental neighbors, 25% tariff. There’s a fair bit of money in products that go back and forth between us. And what’s to say they can’t hit *us* with tariffs? I won’t even get started with “Gulf of America”.
He’s pulling out of the Paris Climate Accord (and we’ve already passed 1.5 degrees), NATO (wtf) and WHO, for which the only “benefit” for them is it takes a year. The WHO does good stuff, they ALL do good stuff, but nope, not for the American President, not in our planner. It’s all about what HE wants, no matter how good something is not just for us, but for places all around the world. Ukraine is screwed because foreign assistance is on a 90-day hold. I just hope that money was set aside before Joe left so there’s at least SOME protection for them. I don’t know why this bothers me so much but it does.
Moving on …. 14th amendment. He’s already trying to play fast and loose with birthright citizenship. He’s also getting lawsuits. I would guess that people were standing by, watching him sign all these executive actions, with their finger(s) ready to hit send. Good for them! Now if only Congress wouldn’t cave and give him the needed 60% (if I remember correctly – if I don’t, please do correct me) to overturn it. I would guess that it’s going to be tangled up for quite a long time.
And it looks like if you’re in the GOP you’d best be ready to claim anything and everything is just fine because “the President knows what he’s doing and he makes the decisions” just to CYA because who knows what sort of things he could come up with to make your life a living hell, right? I’m just sayin’…. He’s an idiot. He’s throwing out things left, right, up, down, back, front, and center, all for what HE wants and how HE thinks things should be done. Going to be a long, long, long four years and we’re only at day 2. Only. I have a headache and a whole lot of anger I can’t express. So yea, call, write, email your reps, people!

OMG, delusional beyond belief! You voted for him to LOWER grocery prices ($8 for a dozen eggs!!!), but in his Time magazine Person of The Year interview he admitted that “once prices go up it’s hard tp bring them down” (BIG surprise, THAT’s not gonna happen!!!) Then we have the numbers of MAGA who have medical insurance under the ACA who accepted the promIse to repeal “Obamacare” without realizing that was the GOP’s derogatory nickname for the ACA (Prepare to bid farewell to the insurance you once had!). Another bomb’s gonna drop on MAGA once he enacts his promised tariffs – supporters who investigated how they REALLY work now understand that not only will prices on imported merchandise go up by the amount of their tariff, but the importer’s markup on that tariffs (You don’t think importers.are going to let THAT get by, do you?)
I’m older than the Bronzed Boob, have lived in or near New York City all my life, and know from observation just HOW big a fake, grifter, and business failure he’s been. LAWFARE??? The various federal and state charges he’s evading are solely a case of the legal system catching up with him. The Biden pardons are prevention against the current regime using lawfare to exact your Mango Messiah’s well-known n̈ever letting go of a grudge.
