It’s over. It’s done. Finished. There is no more to be said, or written. It’s going to fade into the sunset. Jack Smith presented his reports to the AG, and has resigned. tRump has escaped the two most severe charges brought against him. Luck was with him and there is no chance that it will, or can, be brought back again. The judges have closed the cases. And it sticks in my craw to have to let these go.
Keeping secret, top secret, and so forth, documents. Documents that would be of great interest to many of our enemies. Inciting an insurrection. That says it right there. But now that tRump’s going to be President, the cases have to be closed and put away, because nothing can be done to a sitting president or president-elect. SCOTUS gave him qualified immunity, soon to be absolute immunity once he gets into office, and he’s going to do so, so, so much, knowing he can’t be touched for anything he does as the President.
Jack Smith had him dead to rights in those 2 cases, the classified documents and J6 Insurrection. One of them, the documents, was thrown away for some nonsense by a judge that might as well have been bought and paid for. The other, Insurrection, was still in process, with appeals here and there and everywhere, and running out the clock, as if the Orangutan KNEW he was going to become president. Jack Smith was much smarter than anyone on the other side gave him credit for. He *absolutely* knew what he was doing. He *had* to have been certain of these cases. Look at his past record! All of them are great, but right before his appointment as a special counsel, he was the Chief Prosecutor of the Kosovo Special Chambers, an international tribunal investigating and prosecuting war crimes in the Kosovo War! Come ON now, Judge Aileen Cannon must have been desperate to throw the documents case out as “The Special Counsel was unlawfully appointed”. Really?! And, as the Orange Baby Balloon knew and used to his advantage, there are always, or almost always, appeals and appeals and appeals.
I have to say he had decent lawyers, to be able to drag the cases out so well. But Jack was BETTER than them! Jack was SMARTER than them! He was prepared for nearly everything that tRump could throw at him, even the 60,000 or more appeals. This man was certainly not some fly-by-night character chosen at random by flipping through a book with closed eyes, randomly stopping it, and placing a finger on a name. No, he was chosen for a very good reason – he knows what he is doing! Jack is super talented. No doubt he was the top pick for these cases.
And now, The Cheez-Whiz Tater Tot is trying to block the release of the Special Counsel’s report. Well, the documents case under Judge Aileen Cannon can be blocked because there are 2 separate defendants involved even though the case against DonOld has been ended due to all the presidential… stuff. His co-defendants were appealed by Special Counselor Smith, and therefore that portion is still ongoing. But the insurrection case? Oh, no, that’s closed and done. It is the normal process that these be released to the public after the case has been closed. The AG is the one deciding on this. There’s nowhere higher to go except SCOTUS, and with any luck they would choose not to look at this. It’s not really under their jurisdiction, anyhow. “It’s just a report.” I would *love* to read that, legalese or no. I would think about half the country – the better half – would want to read it too. And all those in the higher levels of government may or may not (publicly) want to read it. Coulda woulda shoulda Councilor. You’ve been amazing.

I’m of the belief that the reports for both of those cases will be made public eventually. Trump will be furious and launch an investigation of who the “leaker” is. But information this important needs to see the light of day.

Of course no mention of bidumb’s classified documents that he was never allowed to retain, Pelosi’s refusal to secure the capital or Trump’s plea for peaceful protest. Your beloved special counsel was never gonna get the President off the ballot or in jail.

Maybe these crimes are over and done, but I can assure you, there will be more.
When it comes to crime, he is a target-rich environment.
I am hoping the Hague will invite him back and that he will accept. At least that way it will be more of a challenge for the Administration to get him thrown out of a window. His family will be safer also..
