Small vindictive rant/ramble ahead!
Apparently His Lowness is having a raging fit (or fits) about President Musk getting more screen time than he is. It’s too bad that shows a weakness, because we will keep poking at that to our hearts’ content. Elon has more money, and more power, and more charisma than the Mango Messiah does, until he actually becomes President (oog I didn’t want to think about that twice today). Reports are that Democrats are gleefully (and politely, because we are, right? Ha) shoving this in his face. tRump had to go out of his way to tell people at his first rally since the election that HE was going to be the President. Of course, Elon can’t because he wasn’t born in the US, but the idea still remains and it’s going to be useful until the day the Orangutan gets sworn in. It’s being said that he’s not as powerful and that HAS to sting!
Let’s keep badmouthing the Tangerine Palpatine because it’s fun! Seems that he can dish it out but can’t take it. Of course, we all know his ego is the size of Jupiter, but every little pinprick can deflate it a little more. We’ll take what we can get, right?
He can’t take the idea of another prince having more attention than he does. “There can be only one.” (What is that line from? I can’t remember.) He HAS to be at the top – witness him starting his campaign TWO YEARS before the election would be. Two. Years. Now THAT is confidence. And pigheadedness. And vanity. And nonsense. And <insert your word here>. I was tired of his pontificating by the time the first day ended and to then have to put up with it for two years, urrrrgh *stomachchurn*.
Some Republicans state it seems like the Muskrat is our prime minister. Fortunately there’s no chance of that. I’m pretty sure it would take an act of Congress to set it in place, and he would not have enough votes to do that. The PM is for England, not for us. That’s what we came here to escape. If nothing else, Elon is the unofficial enforcer with all his money and Xitter threats to “primary” Congress-people who disagree and get someone else in the position. Honestly? I don’t think his threats are doing as much good as he thinks they are considering how many Republicans (of course Democrats but really, that goes without saying) went against DonConOld to put the pared down CR bill in place. I’m thinking there’s a lot of “bring it” being said under their breath. If you give way once, it will be easier the next time, and the next, and the next, and…then you’re screwed.
It really does sometimes seem like we don’t know which one of them is/will be leading the country. The next days before the swearing in should be … interesting … to say the least.

After the swearing in will come the swearing at.
It will be interesting…Rusty (Elon) will be gone by Valentine Day!

Well, on the “charisma” front, I’m going to have to disagree. Musk has all the charisma of a watermelon that’s been left on the vine. I (unfortunately) happened to catch Musk’s little cameo on “The Big Bang Theory” a couple of weeks ago and I don’t think I’ve seen anyone (playing themselves) fail so miserably.

The ONLY reason Trump started his “campaign” so early was because he was under the delusion that, as a declared candidate for President, all those pesky investigations and criminal cases against him couldn’t proceed.. It had nothing to do with “confidence” or “pigheadedness” or “vanity” or even “nonsense.” His ONLY motivation was “keep out of prison.” Ultimately, he succeeded (but, even that was mainly because he–or, more accurately, his lawyers–managed to “delay, delay, delay” at every turn and Trump would then complain that all the cases were taking too long and should be dismissed for not proceeding in a timely manner).
Well, the lack of charisma like a watermelon left on the vine too long would be my thought too, but I was using multiple articles for my references and that was on you. *Someone* has to think the jerk is doing *something* right. And also, I appreciate the information/reminders. Thanks for the detailed comment!
It struck me that one (side?) effect of that early announcement was the subliminal message of grinding into those papmedia masses who aren’t that politically interested/aware but who have, noetheless, a right to vote the name of Trump as President. We all know those products and brands that haven’t changed their logos or jingles got years and have instant recognition.
Y’know, I find this very interesting and would say it certainly was a factor. Trump loved the news and the news loved him so he was always showing up on *something* whether it was good or bad. Thanks for the comment!

He’s a freaking nut who’s maturity never ripened. Another example of an ego the size of the Hindenberg…and we know sooner or later a crash is coming for both of them.
