My thoughts are scattered hither and yon. Hope you can figure them out (NO sarcasm intended).
What IS it with this man and the constant boasting on how the election was a blowout and he won by A LOT when it’s simply not true? As more and more state results trickled in, the popular vote win shrank and shrank and shrank, to the point that I would have called it as very close. He just can’t ever admit he’s a loser, right? (See J6) Well, Kamala was a WHOLE lot more gracious than he was. And she didn’t start an insurrection because she was a poor loser.
I would really like to see some more from her before they finish their term. I thought we did everything right … but apparently not right enough. I have SO much respect for her that I can’t even put a number to it. She did everything she could and I wish she had done more about the economy. It was just Trump’s luck that he won. And that’s a horrifying thought … Trump was lucky.
There are the people who voted for Trump, and now expect prices to go down. Not. Happening. “It’s very hard to bring them down, very hard.” There were a lot of promises made, a lot of promises that will be broken or simply never even be tried to be carried out. After all it takes work to do those things and he hates to work. He wants it to all be done for him. I can’t see that happening, either. Yes, he has loyalists in positions for his cabinet, but how much do they *actually* know about running the departments under their watch. I’d say NOPE none, or mayyyyyyybe a very, very little.
There are no guard rails on him this time around. There are just people who are going to kiss his ass and run things into the ground. I won’t get started on RFK Jr. Between him and Kash Patel, lordy, lots more sickness in the US and lots more people jailed, or he’s going to try and jail them. Gotta love someone who has an enemies list before he ever gets into the position. There’s a lot of background that Kash is not thinking of. All he’s considering is free reign in the FBI and he can do whatever he wants to. It’s not going to be that easy, guy. Oh, and let’s not forget Tulsi Gabbard – obvious Russian agent and they want her in a position that will make it EASY for her to give up state secrets. That’s not going to help us. It’s just going to make things worse. Putin can smell the blood in the water.

The facts are as follows: he broke laws, colluded with Russian intelligence, hired an asset as his campaign manager, was helped by a media that has abandoned facts and gone for ratings, was helped by Comey who implied Hillary was guilty of something right before the vote, failing to mention Trump was under investigation, was helped by the racist institution of the electoral college, pardoned Stone, Manafort, Flynn, clearly keeping them from testifying to his criminality, which was obstruction of justice, another crime, and still lost by THREE MILLION VOTES. He wasn’t a legitimate president the first time. Since we’ve seen the horrors of the last four years and the various ways he has avoided consequences that would put an average citizen in jail for a long time, I won’t cover it. Having a dumbed down electorate, a money worshipping culture, and a media that is incapable of reporting truth, well here we are. Let’s not forget ‘luck’ didn’t get him out of two impeachments where the evidence was irrefutable, a corrupt lying traitorous republican party allowed him to walk. No. Luck did not have a damn thing to do with this nazi loving traitor stealing the office once again. I will say that if we EVER recapture our democracy, which looks more doubtful by the day, WE’LL need a phucking miracle.

One of the books (or articles, not sure come to think of it) I have mostly read is the one put out by a number of psychologists I believe was released early in Trump’s first term – “The Dangerous Case of Donald Trump” and it was absolutely fascinating – and accurate! The premise of the title is simple. It’s called “narcissism.” That said, there a re so many books (and now YouTube videos for those with shorter attention spans) on the subject that it would take way longer than a comment to give all the details.
The reason he won the election – well, there are several, but I am convinced that if thos one could have been eliminated, she would have won: misogyny. Not just the public misogynists who voted for him, but the closet misogynists who didn’t vote at all. Yes, there are closet misogynists in the Democratic Party. Not a lot, but enough to lose a national election by sitting out.
And that’s why I keep saying that we must – we MUST – stop sacrificing our best and brightest women on the altar of equality. Yes, we have a lot, but we still cannot afford to lose even one more.
We underestimated the stupidity and racism and misogyny of Trailer Trash Voters ( look at his TrumpTower decor:Trailer Trash Versailles, what a man with no taste thinks is good taste, and whose uneducated supporters agree about it) and greed of the Uberrich. . Kampala is a decent person and a joyful one and her campaign was too kind and decent.
