Oh where, oh where can he beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee?
This came from something I read about how the Bidens managed to totally ignore Kamala Harris and her husband Doug Emhoff at the 47th Kennedy Center Honors, even though the couples were sitting right next to each other, and then from something else I read about how President Biden seems to already be handing off the reins of power to Trump.
Has anyone else noticed that, except for the pardon and the commutations, he seems to have disappeared from sight? I see the occasional snippet here and there, but nothing like you would think he should be since he is just about in his last month of being President. (The whole thing with him pardoning his son after he said he wouldn’t is a completely different story, for another time.)
Instead, tRump Invites Prime Minister Trudeau to Mar-A-Lago. DonOld goes to Notre Dame for the grand re-opening (and how did he get there with being a convicted felon??). tRump is doing all these front-facing events. I find this disturbing in so many ways. We are now the laughingstock of the world, and Sleepy Joe seemingly doesn’t want to be bothered with running the country. Why?! What is he hiding from? Sure, he got painfully forced out of running for a second term of office. Yes, he endorsed Kamala, and then she lost (which was surprising and very, very hurtful). She has also dropped out of sight. Now come on folks, you lost but you can be gracious about it! We tried, a LOT of people tried, to get you in office. You could at least stay in the public eye long enough that people don’t forget about you. Keep pushing everything you’ve done with positive results. Keep pointing out that you got us out of Covid. Keep pointing out that you tried to do border work and the bipartisan bill was TANKED by the Tangerine Palpatine because Republicans have to kiss that ass … er … ring. Keep pointing out what you’ve done, and don’t fade into obscurity. Joe, you did a LOT of good things – keep reminding us of them! Joe, block what you can of Traitor Tot’s frightening plans for the country – such as higher tariffs and, therefore, higher costs for the American people. The Peach Penguin promised to bring prices down but has no idea how he’s going to do it. The Orange Orangutan is for the American people – except he isn’t. Putting those tax cuts back in place, but only for the rich, and the US citizen will not see a damn bit of improvement. But you’ve made your bed, people, and it is full of razor spikes. Some of us already know that things are going to get worse, not better, and knew all along, especially since tRump won the election.
Don’t drift away into the dark, Joe, Kamala. You are better than that.

Give it a rest. Biden has a lot to do before he gives up the reins of power, things that are far, far more important than making public appearances and giving us a smile. Things that involve a lot of paperwork and signatures.
This is the problem with anyone else at the same time as Mr Trump is here.
He is on all the time, he is a creature of media, he fills it. It is, in fact the only thing he does, he does nothing else, but fill the air and printspace with his inane pathetic unthought utterances.
So the media is full of him to the pushing aside of everyone else.
In contrast Biden is normal, he doesn’t see the need to monopolize the media with endless bloviating, he knows how to be a real President, doing real actual things and making actual progress in getting policies developed and implemented. His job is to be President not a washed up over-egoed mindless idiot saying stupid things just to ‘be on TV’.
So compared to Trump, his quiet competence and un-shouted ability and efficient effectivity might appear dull and boring – as if he’s ‘not there’.
I know what type of President I prefer, we’re about to have four years of Trump’s idiocy and shouted mindless-ness, make the most of Biden’s quiet, effective competence while you can.

As I said, Biden has much more important things to squeeze into his last month than smiling for the cameras. Yes, contrast this with Trump, who spends as much time as possible in photo ops, but never actually does anything for the people.
