I’m jumping off one of Jason’s and one of Ursula’s columns and for a good reason. I believe this needs a second, third, fourth, and more, look. This turkey is severely underqualified for a position and that’s an insult to the turkey! Multiple articles are written per day and I’m sure he loves every bit of attention. Well, here is one more article, this time from me. If you haven’t figured it out yet, I’m talking about Pete Hegseth. The man has NOTHING in his background that in any way makes him even remotely suited to be the defense secretary.
And I’ll tell ya, it’s frightening just to think of him in there! I’m seeing full-on catastrophe, and what will happen to our country should he make it, is terrorizing, not just terrifying. He was a Fox program host one day a week, then another Fox News host said he had ’baggage” that made him “blackmailable”. Whaaaaaaat? Someone from the same network, and the network we all know leans hard to the right says, on the record, don’t do this? And some of the other members of Fox said, again on the record (ok, by the record, I mean published articles) that he groped them. He admitted to 5 affairs during his first marriage. FIVE.
But wait, there’s more! Quite a few of his Fox co-workers have spoken to the media because of his “concerning” drinking habits, especially as they have smelled alcohol on him at work. And it’s not just us, through the media, that knows. Numerous Republicans have spoken to him about his drinking and that he needs to be sober if he wants to take this position of military intelligence. I’m surprised the Republicans haven’t yet said a flat NO to his nomination and I very much hope he will not be confirmed. As you see, this becomes even more terrorizing. “Loose lips sink ships”. For another, he has “sexual misconduct allegations” that they are trying to keep under wraps. The list just keeps growing and growing and growing.
And if your mother tells the media that he is using women for his own power, USING women, shouldn’t that be enough to say not just no but HELL no?! (Well, okay, if you’re a misogynist, it’s more than great.) But the man won’t back down and won’t drop out. Again, I must say, as I have done in previous writings, what was the Orange Orangutan *thinking* when he chose this idiot for his cabinet?
I’m sure there is more we don’t know … yet. Please, Senate, I’m begging you, do your duty and keep Pete Hegseth out of office. Please.

I know everyone hopes the senate will smarten up and refuse to allow him the position. They have bent the knee to the felon. He is stating that he still stands by this creep. Of course he does, they are one and the same (well, the womanizing). Both disgusting. But felon doesn’t care if he is qualified as long as he looks the part and the project 2025/1825/1725 people agree that he is their man. It won’t matter to the senate. He could go in and shoot a few senators and they would still say he’s a fine person with a few “indiscretions”. They are going to put all of these nasty, unqualified, evil people in the positions of power. They are going to dismantle our government. They are going to take away the VA benefits, social security, medicare, medicaid, snap, welfare, etc., etc., etc. We cannot stop this with phone calls. Please DO call your senators. But when even Democratic senators are kissing the ring you know we’re in trouble. No one will save us.
I am taking a two day gun safety class after buying handguns. I will target practice 3 hours today as part of that class. If you think I like this i DON”T. Not one bit. I feel dirty and worst of all it’s taught by a magat (surprise, surprise). But I am worried that Jan 20 will become another Jan 6 and he will unleash the military. Enough magats in the military to do whatever he orders them to do. I have to protect myself and my family from the shiit storm that is coming soon to a city near you and me. I’m terrified of what is planned.
Carol, there is a resistance movement and there will be real barriers erected to what Trumpler and his handlers plan for the destruction of our democracy. MAGAt doesn’t control the courts below the corrupt SCOTUS. Congressional members in non-gerrymandered districts know that their seats on the gravy train depend on their constituents, the majority of whom are not fascist zealots. Not all media will kiss the orange ass. Even if the worst of Trumpler’s picks get into positions for which they’re dangerously unsuited, they will find it very hard to carry out their mandate to destroy the govt agencies they “lead.” The next 4 years will be hell, no question, but it may well be hell for the ignorant Right as well as for the indignant Left.
Without Social.Security, we have nothing. His military pension covers the mortgage. It would leave no money or food. Pretty sure this unqualified misogynist will be gunning for the pensions too.
