I say no to this idea but Jenner may have a better crystal ball than I do. Or maybe she’s off her meds. In all events, something has imbued the former Olympian with a sense of omniscience and that seems to be overriding common sense right now. This is a repeat of 2016 in many ways. This time in 2016, Steve Bannon was peacocking and claiming that “we’re gonna rule for fifty years” and even Michael Cohen was thinking about running for mayor of New York City. That was in his previous incarnation as Trump toady. Here’s the delusion du jour from MAGA.

Ah ha, governor of California! That’s the race! Or are we talking about a foot race, maybe? She might win a foot race against Harris. As to a gubernatorial race in the Golden State, she tried that in 2021 and was resoundingly defeated. But maybe she figures that Trump’s coronation makes it possible for her to do the impossible.
Remember, right now is the honeymoon cruise for Trump MAGA, the Sequel. In January it starts to get serious. Then let’s see what happens when Trump can’t magically curb inflation and when, in fact, the flip flops and moo moos at Walmart skyrocket in price.
And Trump will be highly selective about the tariffs, make no mistake. People who play ball with Trump will find out that he won’t impose a tariff on goods they need. Failure to play ball (meaning grift, gelt, vigorish, all other terms used in the protection racket) will result in lost profit. So expect a lot of people to grease Trump’s grubby paws.
Many people, if not in fact most, are already bending the knee to Trump. That’s not wise. Trump is fundamentally disordered. Yes, he’ll put goons in place to enforce his notion of the moment, his executive order of the day, but they’re so busy grifting each other and jockeying for power in Trump world, that a lot of day to day functioning is going to be hamstrung.
And that’s when it will get ugly. When MAGAs don’t get the miracle they were promised and were expecting and in fact inflation gets worse. Just wait and see. Remember, COVID was going “to just disappear one day.” It stuck around and killed over a million Americans and cost Trump his second term. Now he’s got a second term, on his third try. Do not expect it to be the cakewalk that the giddy MAGAs at Mar-a-Lago foresee.
Has Ms Jenner seen her sides actual policies and statements on LBGTQ rights?
