Only the best people, in a universe where “best” is defined as believing that Donald Trump walks on the water is the only qualification needed for any post. Another slate of nominees for the new administration has come out in a Friday night news dump. One of them is Fox News contributor Janette Nesheiwat, who is on board to be the next Surgeon General. (And no I don’t know where Ben Carson is. Maybe he’ll return to run HUD, as though the first time wasn’t fiasco enough.)

You see the pattern developing here, right? Fox News is the *talent pool* from which Trump is picking his cabinet. If you’re a Fox News contributor, you can do anything in government, at least if Trump is doing the picking. It’s all about image and loyalty to the Mango Messiah. Washington Post:
“Dr. Nesheiwat is a fierce advocate and strong communicator for preventive medicine and public health,” Trump said in a statement. “She is committed to ensuring that Americans have access to affordable, quality healthcare, and believes in empowering individuals to take charge of their health to live longer, healthier lives.”
Nesheiwat is a medical director at CityMD, a network of urgent care centers in New York and New Jersey.
Sometimes called the “nation’s doctor,” the surgeon general serves as the federal government’s chief advocate for public health, a title that offers a bully pulpit to raise awareness about health threats. The office’s impact is evident on cigarette package warnings on the dangers of smoking.
The surgeon general oversees the U.S. Public Health Service Commissioned Corps, a team of more than 6,000 uniformed officers who deploy during disasters and disease outbreaks. During the first Trump administration, the White House proposed reducing the size of the Corps by nearly 40 percent. Unlike agencies such as the Food and Drug Administration or the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the surgeon general has limited power and does not regulate organizations.
Limited power is a wonderful concept nowadays, since Trump feels his power is completely untrammeled. Karl Rove tried to warn him the other day that no chief executive has “infinite sway” but Trump will push the limits to get what he wants. And in doing so, a lot of things will simply explode. Expect it.
We are in the hands of political extremists. Two days ago a Nazi extremist died in prison at the age of 96. She was a holocaust denier and that is illegal in Germany. But she prefered incarceration than to recant her extremist beliefs. Associated Press:
Ursula Haverbeck, a prominent German far-right activist who accumulated a string of convictions for denying the Holocaust, has died. She was 96.
Haverbeck died on Wednesday, her lawyer Wolfram Nahrath told German news agency dpa on Thursday.
Haverbeck repeatedly asserted that Auschwitz was just a work camp. In fact, historians say at least 1.1 million Jews were murdered there by the Nazis.
She was first convicted and fined in 2004, and several further convictions for incitement followed — some of them carrying prison sentences. In one of those cases, she served more than two years in prison in the western city of Bielefeld between 2018 and 2020.
This is how extremists roll. They have an alternate reality that they live in and they will not alter their skewed version of the facts. Their worldview, their fantasy, is more real to them than reality itself. That’s what we’re dealing with in America, folks.

The freaks in Trump’s own world of make-believe, have a great need for people that can say, with out snickers, grins or outright laughs, “Yes Sir, the world’s a better place today, thanks to your Masterful handling of issues”, without any room for other statements of disdain or counter Trump moaning’s …
He likes to tell stories about others that have said, “Sir”, as a first word in any conversation …
Trump, the COMPLETE IDIOT, knows nothing, cannot read anything and get useful info from it, has no base in reality, the latest scary stuff … Putin is rattling around new weapons against our troops in Ukraine … How is the military going to keep the codes away from Trump?
Putin HAS to know that if he, indeed escalates, Moscow can be reduced to a huge pile of ashes in minutes, without even using nukes …
Trump could NEVER rule from prison, the communications necessary would disrupt all prison protocols, if he wears an ankle monitor so he could be picked up out golfing, he would suffer a GREAT displeasure, so, being confined to an asylum might work better …
“Dr. Janette” is certainly a Trump loyalist. She comes from a family of professional Trumpers. Her sister, Julia, was in Trump 45’s Dept. of Homeland Security and Julia’s husband, Rep. Mike Walz has been tapped to be 47’s National Security Advisor. On paper, “Dr. Janette” appears to be one of his more qualified picks. A couple of things to watch out for are her strong support for vaccines, putting her in conflict with RFK, Jr., and her own brand of vitamin supplements, putting her in conflict with Dr. Oz!! 🤣 On a serious note, I will watch for her handling of her top employee, Admiral Rachel Levine, head of the US Public Health Service Commisioned Corps. Admiral Levine has done a good job leading these disaster first responders and that is one of Janette Nesheiwat’s areas of expertise. But, Levine is openly transgender and we’ll see….🤞
I’ve noticed a,pattern forming. For male right-wingers,,they just have to.be completely incapable of doing the job, be even less attractive than King Dinakd ,and kiss the ring. Female appointees must be completely incapable of doing the job, kiss his balls and be a 9 in the looks department. The women are cookie cutter beauties with long hair; could he be contemplating losing Melanie now that she has revamped to NYC?
