I don’t pretend to know how far off base things are going to get before 2026 or 2028. We are only in the first week after Trump won reelection and anything goes. Literally. There is no headline too strange, no political realignment too bizarre. It’s just going to keep going farther and farther out there as we explore political galaxies we never thought existed. The newest is Dean Phillips with his idea of how to reconcile and unite the electorate. Just go MAGA. Simple, right?

“Who wouldn’t be willing to do that?” the man asks. Umm….anybody who’s been awake the past decade and who knows what Trump is capable of? Anybody who doesn’t want to join a crime syndicate?
Phillips is very much like Trump. He’s mega wealthy and politics is a place where a lot of mega wealthy people end up. Either show business or politics, sometimes both as we have seen.
What I find interesting is that Phillips even bothered to run as a Democrat in the first place. I think we see the guy’s true colors here.
Ursula…there are plenty of folks who keep arguing the rule of law as if real rules of justice exist. The law is whatever group holds the power BACKED BY GUNS. There are laws in Russia, China, Iran, N Korea, etc. The rich never wanted democracy…that means some money will go to the poor and downtrodden instead of THEM. That’s all going to happen here starting with Obama care, human services, the social safety net, etc. One thing I notice is that there are many apologists who NEVER BEEN A VICTIM OF THE SYSTEM…makes sense they are reluctant to acknowledge the reality we find ourselves in. Middle class white people are in for an awakening.

When I was a kid I didn’t dislike Kool Aid but didn’t get all excited if my mom or someone else’s made a batch for the gang. As I grew older I never bought a single pack of the stuff. I sure as hell am not going to start drinking that swill now – especially Trump Orange Kool Aid!
How the mighty have fallen. It’s sad. It really is sad. Me? I’m running in the other direction and hoping others are too! Because I can’t EVEN.
