This is a breath of fresh air. Yes, things have been tough in this world for a lot of us. Many people have known poverty or were born into poverty. I was. So I have vivid recollections of us losing our house, and me not having a winter coat for a while and having to stuff sweaters under a raincoat. True story. MAGA just voted for their hero because he’s going to stick it to all those libs, the movie stars, the rock stars, those snooty smart people. Hahahaha, boy is their Pumpkin Palpatine going to show us! But they’re going to experience some very unexpected consequences for their foolish vote, whether they willingly cast it or sold it.

I could listen to this guy all night. MAGA just screwed itself. It just sowed the seeds of its own destruction. Let’s see where mortgages go and new home building goes. This is not going to be the joyride that the MAGA pranksters are anticipating.

They inflicted Trump on all of us. Trump is going to inflict his incompetence and lack of judgement and ability on them — and the rest of us. But we’re all shopping at the same stores, the gas and electric companies are servicing us all, the insurance companies, car companies, you name it. We are one nation, indivisable, for the most part. That’s both good and bad news.

It’s going to be a tough road ahead. But if we stick together and perservere, we will see the daylight again. It’s right now that the shock is the hardest.

There are two chief differences between MAGAs and non-MAGAs:

1. We realize who Trump is. They don’t. They just love the fact that he’s so hated and they want to participate in all that.

2. We know how things actually work and they don’t. They’re going to be in for a surprise.

3. We see it coming and forewarned is forearmed.

Get ready for a hell of a ride America. And never lose sight of 2026 and 2028. We lived through four years of this shitshow once. We can do it again.

  1. Yep. People who voted Trump because of ‘high prices’ and ‘inflation’ and ‘the price of eggs’ and all those other republican talking points that were made up fabrications, (i.e. lies) are set for disappointment. And this after Biden did such a great job of bringing Trumpflation last time which begs the question, “How did they get away with that lie with a MSM biased against Trump like he says it is?

    Because MSM isn’t.

Trumpflation, inflation caused by incompetent government will be back, on steroids this time, and he won’t have a pandemic to blame.

    • Can’t agree more. This is school of hard knocks time for the people who voted for this lunatic. Trump may become the next Hoover, yet. God knows I don’t want to see that but it is possible that that’s the lesson people need.

    • Reality is going to own the MAGAs. This isn’t about Democrats beating MAGA. This is about the way things really are and people who have a misconception about the way things are. The way life works, is you can only live in your fantasy version of how things are for so long. Then Reality says, “We’re gonna have a little talk.”

The Democrats will be saying, “I told you so,” in short order — not that that’s going to be much comfort.

  2. I can’t help think of the character in the wizard of oz who sai if I only had a brain. The magats are absolutely brainless, brain dead, moronic, idiotic, stupid, mouth breathing, knuckle dragging, fools. I could go on, but you all know this. Yes, I’m crying now, but when Their tears start, I will be laughing so hard I’ll start crying again. But it still won’t be funny

    • At least the Scarecrow knew it and aspired to be a better being. That’s not so with these people. They love Trump being a fuck up and how crazy it makes reasonable, sane people. So now they’re going to have to find that Trump being a fuck up is going to affect everybody, not just the people he (and they) don’t like.

    • I don’t think it’s right to characterize all trump supporters that way. There are educated people who support him. My neighbor is a cop with all sorts of trump signs and flags in his front yard.
Not all of them are illiterate or uneducated, but all of them are misinformed.

      • Well, they’ll find out pretty soon. Since you say they are literate and educated, maybe they’ll find out faster than the others. But either way — in the word of a great philosopher, FAFO.

      • Cherish is absolutely right ‐ they’re not illiterate, they’re misinformed.

The issue the Harris campaign whiffed on was correcting those misconceptions. Maybe that was too big a lift, or maybe they thought demonizing the Bronze Bozo would do the trick. Maybe not recognizing how undeservatively unpopular Joe Biden was as president, and aligning VP Harris so closely to him was a mistake, making a Harris administration look like Biden 2.0.

My Congresswoman-elect flipped the seat to Democrat after losing her 2022 bid. She stressed the immigration/border issue instead of Roe and Trump in her TV ads. The former issue obviously resonated with voters here.

    • The irony of that is that the Scarecrow DID have a brain all the time. One has to have a brain even to realize that that brain could be better. The “bran-new brain” the wizard gave him by putting bran into his head only gave him the confidence to use the brain he already had. (Same with the tin woodman and the heart – he was always sweet – and the lion’s courage – courage is not bein fearless, it is being terrified and standing up anyway.)

MAGAts have brains, or they wouldn’t be breathing. What they don’t have is the first clue about how to use them, or even the slightest smidgen of a wish to be able to use them. NOr even a pixel-sized abiity to admit they were wrong. Oh, they’ll suffer. But they’;; blame it on us and dig in their heelsdeeper.

  3. In my humble opinion, the reason Trump and MAGA won was that we a rascist country and we have always been a rascist country. Combine that with the Goold Ole Boy Mentality that has socio engineered a male dominated society and is both misogynistic pervasive. Turnocharged by most of the religions that dominate our landscape. Even women voted against their own best interest by voting for Trump. I agree the gentleman in the video. When the economy crashes, and it will, when the weathy and well connected are the only who will benefit, when mass deportations and vicious cruelty occurs, I will have no sympathy for those who voted for Trump that will find they are struggling or find they are suddenly caught in the crosshairs of a cruel vinctive government. I am 69 yrs old and female and spent a lifetime in the Good Ole Boy dominated workplace. I see them for who they are.

    • You and me both, my friend. I well remember when a lot of women began coming into law and people were asked, “Will you work for a woman?” True story. And these were women, secretaries, being asked this. I went to law school later, but I never forgot all that crap from the 70’s when I was asked that.

      • I had men who didn’t like the fact that I was female, smart, very good at my job, and Younger then they were. But I learned that it didn’t matter one iota if they liked me. I was there to do a job, and that is exactly what I did. I got awards and bonuses every year, and I never held anything against those who didn’t like me. They got fair, honest evaluations and bonuses/awards if they did their jobs well.

    • But you miss the reality – they don’t see it now and they NEVER WILL. The people who love Trump will love him as their home is being destroyed by a hurricane, a twister, a flood – as they can no longer drink because the rising global temperatures have melted all the water sources and who can no longer breathe – they don’t see it, they can’t see it, they will NEVER see it and humanity ALL of us, will pay the price for this election for DECADES to come. Oh, and you said it’s about racism and misogyny? All true, but you forgot RANK HYPOCRISY. Christians are all for “life” and espouse the “family” but are perfectly fine when Trump’s
ICE thugs separate children from their parents with no thought-out way to EVER reunite them. Yup, Christians are all for family, as long as it’s WHITE families! Hypocrisy!

      • These are not Christians. They are christian in name only, to get money, tax free status for their churches if that applies. I went to church and Sunday school every week growing up. I was baptized. I have fallen away from the church and am not all ways a good person, let alone a good Christian (I do read my own posts!) but I do ask for forgiveness, I do pray, and I try oh so very hard to turn the other cheek. It hasn’t worked in the age of maga-ism but still, I do know right from wrong and I do know that what the GQP is doing is not Christian. Hard to say all this without sounding like the hypocrite I seem to be.

      • Please call them Christian Nationalists, not Christians. There are plenty of Christians – I’m one – who think very differently. I have no idea what Bible they are reading, but its not the same as mine. (And of course, they probably aren’t reading – they probably are taking doctrine for dear leader or one of his evangellists who have sold their souls. Back in tha day – way, way back – when the chursh didn’t allow lay people to read the Bible, it was just as bad. Except that weapons have gotten more powerful.)

  4. People who never expected to win can’t lose.

People who think the 9 most frightening words in the English language are: “we’re the federal government and we’re here to help” can’t be disappointed by a lack of government action.

As long as they get to see snooty, know-it-all elites, scary immigrants willing to walk 1000 miles to take American jobs, and all the other “others” in pain, they’ll take the win.

If we want a just society, and certainly if we want to indulge in schadenfreude, we have to get back to work.

  5. The MAGA crowd, including MAGA media, will never blame the Trump-Vance regime for anything they screw up. They will always find, or invent, a Democratic scapegoat.
I’m not sure of the best way to counter that. But I hope someone prints millions of those “I Did That!” stickers with Trump’s image (instead of Biden’s), to be affixed to grocery shelves, gas pumps, and other highly-visable places.
