Yes, we’re going to do this. What you’re about to bear witness to will be the end of an era, if luck holds and enough Americans are tuned into reality and not right-wing propaganda outlets selling them stories of things that simply do not exist. I got another call a few hours ago from yet another fine Democrat manning the phone banks. I told this good woman that yes, I had already deposited my ballot and walked it into the post office, so there should be no issue of it getting counted. Then she and I chatted and she told me that she’s spoken to Trump supporters who are upset about the $15,000 debit cards that illegal aliens get the minute they cross the border. There are people who believe such fantastic lies.

And that is as good a distillation of what the MAGA era has been as anything that you’re going to find. I hope we are done with this era. It is entirely possible that in 24 hours from now, which will be approximately midnight ET, as I write, that we could be looking at Kamala Harris as our next president. Or, it is possible that it will be 2020 redux and we’ll have to wait for days until we get a definitive result.

So for now, we’re still in the Trump era and for the record we will record his last rally in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Trump needs to win Michigan to be competitive. He’s not slated to win Michigan, (he’s trailing by three points, or two in some polls) but it’s also not in Harris’s column by such a margin that it is safely Democratic. What we can tell you is that the stadium is half full, if that.

Trump is over one hour and a half late, as I write. #TrumpIsGoingDown is trending on Twitter. And maybe nobody in that crowd has a job, because it’s hard to be at a rally until one a.m. or later and then get up and go to work the next day.

I’ll tell you something, this is torture. RSBN is covering Trump’s rally live and I keep waiting for Acyn or Aaron Rupar to start cutting tape — but they can’t start until Trump starts talking and right now I’m wondering if he’s going to throw this gig.

The RSBN *reporter* keeps reciting the same effing advertising copy. Forget about waterboarding, you want to torture somebody, just have them listen to fifteen minutes of this.

Well, at 9:15 p.m. PT, which is 12:15 a.m. ET, the Orange One came out on stage to Lee Greenwood’s anthem. He tells the crowd that “we’re leading by hundreds of thousands of votes.”

This is Fox’s way of saying that it’s same old, same old.

The transgender people in this country are a tiny fraction. I’ve only known two in my enitre life and I have known hundreds of gay and lesbian people. But despite the fact that they’re such a tiny and harmless minority, they have been vilified and demonized. It is truly a sin to persecute people like this. But hey, it’s a talking point for people who need a talking point and that’s all that matters.

Zero policy, plenty of insults. It’s one o’clock in the morning on Election Day in the eastern time zone. The polls will open in about five hours.

I’m going to call it a night right here. Trump is not going to say anything of value. He showed up to his appearances. It’s now the wee hours on the east coast. He’ll stop moving his lips soon and that’s how the Trump era fizzles. No dramatic flourishes, just a boring old fool doing racist, sexist hate speech to his equally deranged followers. I think Hillary goofed when she called MAGA the “deplorables” I think she should have called them the “deranged.”

2016 was a long time ago. And so was 2020. And tomorrow, or later on today in some parts of America, we turn the page. 270 or bust. Literally.

    • He will never stop campaigning. Even if, God willing, he is locked up, he will have fund raising/campaigning still going on. Even after he departs this earth, his Family will still be fundraising off his name, image, and his magat bs. Will we Never be rid of this menace? I pray this election is a landslide against him and on January 20, 2025, President HARRIS is sworn in. At least I don’t believe he can run for office again 🙏🤞.

  4. Trump’s got an undisclosed fall-back move, that’ll be activated, as soon as it’s designed to do, post election, for sure. However, the guardrails, protectors and maintainers of said guardrails, are more the wiser of Trump’s Machiavellian game play, and should be primed to neutralise and such game play. Democracy, in sum, is a delicate flower and is currently having an identity crisis, but it will endure, because the defenders of democracy are more the wiser. God speed!

  5. BTW, my maga mother believes all the lies – illegals are being given cash, apartments, insurance, and great jobs that should be given to worthy Americans, and much more! I have Shown her the evidence to the contrary, begged her to do a little bit of research, sent her information about the lies and project 2025 to show what that orange blob will do to her, me, her friends, the entire country, etc. No changing the magats. She is nearly 90 and I fear she will die or kill herself if VP Harris wins. She hates her to the very core. I’m sorry. She is my mother. I still love her, but…and she isn’t the only magat member of my family. I’m so glad I saw the truth way back when I cast my first vote for President Carter. So glad he got to cast his vote for VP Harris this year. I pray he lives to see her sworn in as President Harris, God willing. I apologize for all the idiots in my family who have drunk the kool aid.
