Does anybody catch the irony of a sports announcer-level introduction, meaning mega enthused and promising high pitched excitement just ahead, when the visual is some corpulent old dude who is barely able to put one leg in front of the other as he slowly descends the steps of his plane — to funeral music no less? Who is the wit or maybe I should say half wit, who decided that the Undertakers Theme was an appropriate piece of music to precede the GOP candidate whenever he arrives at a venue? Rick Wilson has opined on many occasions that Donald Trump has at least one mole in his midst, out to sabotage him, and I can’t help but think that the music choices (Theme From Titanic? Ride Of The Valkries, which is commonly associated with the Vietnam War these days) aren’t the product of that kind of thinking?

You see what I mean? This is rally two for the day, he’s got a third one coming up tonight. I suppose we’ll cover them all here. I have long since come to accept my sado-masochistic tendancies in putting myself through listening to this hair-plugged, diapered begirdled abomination, day after day. In for a penny, in for a pound, right? Trump has five more rallies besides this one in this election cycle. So we will be done with these soon in all events. If/when he loses, he’ll be in prison soon and if God forbid he should win, then we will have a lot more to worry about besides batshit rallies. But I don’t think Trump’s going to win and more importantly, neither does he. That’s the key thing to bear in mind as you watch these.

Right, they call Donald because he’s running the show and QAnon says an actor in a Joe Biden mask only pretends to hold office. Uh, huh. But the second clip is interesting. He says “removal” or something along those lines. And the slurring is about to get worse. Listen.

This has always been the most destructive aspect of Trump and MAGA, that he claims to know what’s “really” happening and how “they” are all perpetrating frauds. He, on the other hand, even though he’s a felon convicted of 34 felonies, is blameless as the driven snow. But “they” commit “frauds” right and left.

What’s that you say? You’ve been to bingo games at your 97-year-old aunt’s retirement facility that have more pizazz? As I said at the beginning, when you start off with an old guy barely able to descend the steps of his plane to the accompaniment of funeral music, it’s not the most auspicious of beginnings.

Nothing off the walls about that, right? Fantasizing about a long dead gangster murdering an ally because he didn’t like his pillows? And no, I don’t know if this is a side effect of whatever drug he’s on. That’s way above my pay grade.

Let’s get to the ending of this snooze fest. Anybody know a bookie? You might want to call your bookie now and see what the odds are that Trump makes it to his third rally at 6:30 p.m. ET. That’s about one hour from now, as I write.

Let’s see him get through one more rally tonight and four tomorrow. Let’s see it with our own eyes. I would remind you that Trump is running to run the country that he tried to overthrow when he ran it before because he’s running from the law but the fact is, he’s not “running” at all. He’s one step away from being carried on a stretcher.  I have to let Stephen King get the last word.

  3. I wrote yesterday evening about body language. I honestly am not sure how it will turn out once the votes are counted (I’ll admit to being cautiously optimistic – emphasis on the cautious part) but it looks to me like Trump thinks he’s going to lose. Not fears he’s going to lose. I think we have seen that stage come and go. Now he believes from what he’s being told he is in fact going to lose and so it’s on to hyping The Big Lie/Stop the Steal 2024 version. He’s already talking about Democrats “stealing” it “again.”

    He may or may not be right about losing, even getting his ass kicked next week. We’ll see. But he sure as hell is acting like that’s what he believes. Let’s all hope he’s right!
