This is getting beyond alarming. We have seen a great many scenarios in American politics but the one that is playing out in front of our eyes is one we have never seen. We have one candidate who is in denial about his circumstances and is cracking up, on stage, publicly. We also have a group of enablers around the candidate, the GOP, and they’re telling him, and more importantly us, that everything is fine, and there’s nothing to worry about. Things are not fine with Donald Trump, this is a five-alarm fire going on and his symptoms are classic. Will somebody get a clue?

This is denial, friends. This guy is living in an altered reality. I’m not going to presuppose what chemicals he might be ingesting and it doesn’t matter. If the altered reality is the result of his own neurosis and no chemical assistance, my point is that he’s still nuts. He’s in denial of reality, begging people to subscribe to an alternate reality, the one he inhabits. We do not need somebody in this state of mind running the country. He can’t process the facts around him and come up with a conclusion, like maybe he should change the content of his pitch and see if he gets a different result. Instead he processes the facts and comes up with a delusion, that what is happening isn’t really happening. It is happening, take a look.
And the only thing worse than Trump’s delusion are his pathetic enablers. Mike Johnson is premiere amongst them. But then Johnson got where he got by chance, not because he knows anything or can do anything. In many ways, his delusion is scarier than Trump’s.

So Johnson’s telling us not to believe what comes out of Trump’s mouth. Then why should we vote for him, now? Isn’t that the purpose of politicians making speeches, so you know what they stand for, what they plan to do, and we vote for them because we take them at their word?
What is happening in fact is that the guy at the top of the GOP ticket is mentally off the beam but the rest of the party isn’t so with it either. And I’m not going to even attempt to describe or even to ascertain what the difference is between insanity or plain lack of integrity and judgement — but we don’t need either of those things in our government. I think we can agree on that much. Here’s more delusion still.

And when Trump is king it will be illegal to publish a negative poll about him.
I repeat, man is flipping out, on stage, in front of people and in real time. But this is apparently fine with the GOP. And I’m sure Trump’s imbalance won’t dissuade a lot of people from voting for him. There is something about Trump that appeals not only to a very dark segment of our society but to dark impulses in human nature to begin with.
My fervant prayer is that there are more sane Americans than crazy ones. Because this is way beyond party lines. This is about electing a paranoid mess as opposed to electing a rational stateswoman.
How long since he has played a round of golf? He played just about every day, even during the worst of Covid when people were dying by the thousands. No wonder he’s losing it.
Losing it!? Traitor Tot lost it if he ever had any semblance of wit or sanity 7 decades or more ago! He has always been batshit crazy strait jacket and padded cell insane!! He should have been involuntarily committed for life long ago!! He is definitely harmful to himself and others. He is directly responsible for the deaths of over a million Americans! He should face a firing squad for his many acts of TREASON!!

Oh, it’s a fact that the insane are vastly outnumbered by the sane.
The sane just have to get out and vote for the sane candidate.
Fortunately, this seems to be what is happening.
Fortunately for all of us.
The unidentifiable remains of the GOP are still backing Trumpler because they actually believe they’re going to make him president no matter what the vote is on Tuesday. The fix is in, they think. And then they can move to Plan B, which is ridding themselve of Donald in favor of JD. He’s their future. Donald’s their past and they’re ready to move on, those creepy Congress MAGAts, even if the mob’s not (yet). I suspect Trump knows this will happen and he doesn’t care; all he wants is to get to the White House long enough to sign a pardon for himself and his family (excluding Melania).
