I just had to make note of this. This was Donald Trump’s triumph today, or at least it was supposed to be that, his Norman Rockwell painting in the window of McDonald’s. Trump, the Friend Of The Working Man, showed himself to be a real guy, a regular Joe, and put on an apron and got behind the drive-thru window of a famous hamburger chain, employer to so many of us as we start out in the work world. But Trump did NOT have on a hair net, nor did he observe handwashing protocols and there are repercussions for that from McDonald’s management and/or the Department Of Health. This is vintage Trump. He solicits people into his dream, in this case a photo op, and he ends up damaging the people who help him Does he care? Pfffffft.
A Bucks County report from their March 2024 visit cited Trump’s campaign spot for employees not having “hands clean and properly washed.” These requirements, when carried out properly, help reduce food borne illness.
The report detailed that employees were not washing hands before putting on gloves, after touching trash, after handling raw meat, and before touching clean items that come in contact with food.
“Food employees are not washing their hands as required before putting on gloves, after handling soiled tableware, after handling raw meat, before handling clean tableware, equipment, utensils. CFSM must review hand washing requirements with staff. Observed employees handling raw beef with gloves and then switching gloves without hand washing step in-between.
And here’s the self righteous part of it all.

- Kamala Harris actually did one of these jobs, for real, in her teens.
- Trump never worked a day in his life, in his teens or otherwise.
- So follow the reasoning now, Trump, by playacting and staging a photo op pretending to be a McDonald’s worker for a few hours, is actually more legitimate than Harris, who did the job IRL.
- And if you can figure out that reasoning for me, please go on to explain War Is Peace, Ignorance Is Strength, Freedom Is Slavery. I am all ears.
