Must See Real Clips Of Things You Cannot Make Up In New Mash Up

I would like to see any writer come up with a novel or script to rival the tragi/comedy that you and I have been living in since late 2015. I do give kudos to Stephen King for having written the Dead Zone and having created the character of Greg Stillson. Stillson was the superficially charming senate candidate whom the psychic character, Johnny Smith, experiences a vision of becoming president and ordering a pre-emptive nuclear strike. Stephen King captured the sheer evil depravity of Trump, but his Stillson character was in no way as completely undeveloped or stupid as Trump.

Trump is a character beyond the ability of any scenarist, with the possible exception of Kurt Vonnegut. Only Vonnegut could capture the black comedy and utter absurdity of what we have seen normalized in American politics for three presidential cycles now, a Chauncey Gardener character with a vicious mean streak and a hatred of women, in particular. So take a stroll down memory lane with this terrific mash up.

I remember seeing most of those clips as they occurred in real time. I was appalled on all occasions. Trump doesn’t know how to handle power. Not real power, in any event. He knows the power of a small, family-owned business and how to not pay his workers or his bills simply because he doesn’t feel like it. He knows the power of his children or his employees telling him he walks on water. He’s got the swollen head that a small person with an oversized ego acquires when they’re elevated to a position that they are woefully unqualified for, and they believe the flattery of those around them, because that makes them think, “maybe…maybe I really do deserve this and I’m not an imposter.”

Trump’s the ultimate imposter and it would be giving him far more credit to suppose that he might even be capable of imposter syndrome. Most people who suffer from imposter syndrome have enough humility to think that they might not be as skilled as they actually are. Trump, on the other hand, is the walking personification of the Dunning-Kruger effect, where people who have no knowledge or skill in a given field area believe, wrongly, that they totally grasp the field. It’s a cognitive bias of “illusionary superiority.”

And make no mistake, if Trump would get back in, Roseanne Barr might end up being the Ambassador to Hungary, or who knows what? This is how off the walls this current ticket and this current political climate is. Kamala Harris must win, for a multitude of reasons.
