Tim Walz was a terrific vice presidential pick. And yes, I know, Josh Shapiro might have sewn up Pennsylvania but things are looking good in that state with Shapiro staying right where he is. Walz has all the charm of Robert Young in Father Knows Best back in the 50’s. He’s got an ease about him, coupled with an incisive wit. He’s the guy you’d love to have for a neighbor, love to have coaching your kid’s team, love to have marry your sister, for that matter. He has managed to put out a self help video/political ad that stands on its own merits, plus takes a swipe at Project 2025. What a piece of work, both Walz and the video.

After that nice slice of American pie that you just had, here’s this toxic weirdo with a made up story about saving Tim Walz’ life. Did Walz have tears in his eyes and call Trump “Sir” I wonder?

You can see the vivid difference between the two campaigns. Which do you want, Walz or Weirdo Vance? Do you want sane, youthful, cogent and grounded Kamala Harris or the serial liar, adjudicated rapist, convicted felon? We have stark contrasts in this election, positively stark. (And in Trump’s case, the descriptor fits before the words “raving mad” as well.)

America has an IQ test scheduled for November 5. Either we give the keys to our collective kingdom to a group of fascists, or we stay a constitutional democracy. It is as black and white as that.

  2. Love this “… America has an IQ test scheduled for November 5…” There’s a clear choice. Voting for a dangerous, aged, evil and declining fascist, along with the 2025 doctrine shows an inability to understand democracy and free elections. Doing so is not a valid way to pass the up and coming Nov 5 election IQ test.

    • As Kamala pointed out during the debate, “81 million people fired you.” I believe that even more than that will decide not to hire him back. Or, if we do, then we know that the movie Idiocracy was in fact prophetic and we are too stupid as a nation to continue as a representative democracy.

  3. My comment on hillbilly boy’s grasp of economics, specifically inflation, is as follows:

When the world basically shut down during covid, EVERYTHING backed up-supply chains most of all (no people means not only no product being produced but also no product being transported). We live in a global economy. When supply chains back up in a global economy, well, you start to run out of shit. When pandemics end, people want a lot of shit. You do the math there hillbilly boy…oh, wait, you can’t. Ok I’ll do it-it takes time for things to get back to what they were pre-pandemic. Americans, being not the brightest bulbs in the box, want their shit now. THAT creates an environment fertile for inflation–people working, having money and being able to get the hell out of their homes vs. not a lot of stuff available (see the supply chain thing, no workers producing shit, etc.). Now, think back to your consumer education class in high school-what happens when there isn’t much supply but there is a LOT of demand? Hmmmm? Prices go up which in our case means inflation. Now, to be clear hillbilly boy, sometimes prices go up drastically because corporations practice PRICE GOUGING. The reason why, now that supply chains, employment numbers, etc. are in that economic sweet spot, prices are still high can be laid at the doorstep of corporate greed. Hell dumb-ass, the companies even SAID they are keeping prices high f.f.s.

So, when people are bitching about high grocery prices, they OUGHT to be blaming Kroger, Albertson’s, Food Lion, etc. because those corporate f*cks ARE keeping the prices high so they can bring in more money presumably for better c.e.o. pay. When you attempt to blame a piece of legislation that actually got people back to work, got things in our country going again, AND btw, did not result in a recession, you look as stupid as you are. Or as Forest would say “stupid is as stupid does”.

    • There was an article the other day on how much the CEOs of big cereal companies make, and then how the companies decided to hike the price of cereal 20% due to “inflation.” There are different states, Nevada among them, where rental costs have spiked due to “inflation” but if you dig deeper you find collusion with a software company that sets rents.

These are the kinds of interests that J.D. Vance represents, and yet he wants to cloak himself as the friend of the working man.

  4. I love the way Vance BLAMES his kid for giving him “the plague.”

And, um, if you know you have “the plague” BEFORE going to the doctor (that is how the wording in his tweet actually reads*), then why are you out in public in the first place? Hell, and if your KID had “the plague,” why aren’t you at home with said kid? I mean, for the vast millions of people who have jobs which make taking ANY time off for illness (whether for self or for a loved one) almost impossible to do, those folks generally have little ability to stay home when they’re sick. You’re a forking US Senator. You don’t even have to show up for work when you’re supposed to (which is maybe 30 weeks a year, at most) and still get paid an obscene amount of money (that is four to five times–or more–than is paid to most of the folks for whom you seem to care so greatly about their ability to buy food). But, sure JD, blame the kid for giving you “the plague.” How did the kid get it? Maybe from your loving immigrant wife? You do love blaming immigrants for all the troubles of the world.

*JD’s tweet could’ve been so much better worded. “I was *walking* to the doctor because I was feeling under the weather (later found out I had the plague).” That would’ve given him a valid excuse and he wouldn’t have had to throw one of his own kids under the bus.

  5. What type of plague, how many people did his kid(s) infect, how many people did he infect, did his wife get it as well and, if so, how many people did she infect, did they inform anyone they may have infected, did they get treatment for anyone else but him, did he inform the CDC, did he pass it along to people at his hate rallies, did he pass it to Orangeman, did he infect anyone on the news shows he was on…..what a maroon, or moron, take your pick.
