I do love it when rich white men get on stage and predict how minority voters are going to roll. It’s intriguing in this instance because what is being predicted here is that nobody wants to take orders from a woman. That’s because women *liberals* whine and lecture. And then there’s a token Uncle Tom who describes how Black men “want men to lead.” Great. Glad to hear it. Keep putting up good male candidates and I have no doubt but that they will be elected. The air raid siren that you’re hearing here is the call to female subjugation. That’s the hill that this faction of the GOP is prepared to die on, evidently.

I can tell you from my own life, I well remember hearing men have conversations with other men along the lines of “would you work for a woman?” Like a woman could not possibly know how to run a business, or lead a team, or get out the payroll, whatever is necessary to keep a business going.
This touches me very personally. I was in student government in high school. In college, I happened to run into the guy who was student body president when I was senior class president. We discussed the fact that the same qualities that were lauded in him, leadership ability, drive, ambition, what have you, were looked down upon in me. As a female I wasn’t supposed to think that way. And I was in high school in the early 70’s so we’re not talking all that long ago.
And if you want to get really disgusted, read about Clara Shortridge Foltz. She was the first woman to be allowed to practice law on the west coast. When Foltz attended law school her male colleagues mocked and imitated her. She was totally unwelcome. She had to pass the bar exam three times because the male bar examiners couldn’t believe that she was really doing it. Nevertheless, she persisted. She finally got licensed.
So this resonates with me on a lot of levels, this sick contention that women just aren’t good enough for the really big jobs — in the minds of misogynists. Wow. I hope all the more now that Kamala kicks the Orange Orangutan’s ass and achieves the White House. These clowns need to see that any job a human being can do can be done by people of either gender, whether it’s arts, sciences, government, you name it.
But they do want to listen to whiny, lying, idiots?!? Call me kooky but I don’t think minorities want to listen to von shitzinpants any more than they already have. Like most sensible people they found that listening to ignoramuses of von shtizi’s caliber was probably bad for their mental health. Lord knows you damned sure didn’t want to listen to him regarding your physical health unless you enjoy sticking fluorescent lights up your ass and injecting bleach into your arms. Yeah, I think minority voters, like the rest of us with more than 1/2 a brain in our heads, are not going to be pulling the lever for shitzi on election day.
I don’t know who these people are on this “panel”, but they’ve won today’s Biggest Fucking Moron of the Day Award. Sure hope their moms are real proud.

I’m an old white guy. I played sports in both high school and college and later on in the Marines spent lots of time with a lot of black guys. Now, I’m just one guy so this is anecdotal but when I see this type of talk, including from that black guy who was in the clip I don’t dismiss it out of hand because it rings true to what I’ve seen/heard starting back when I was in high school. Like men (or women) of any race some people are reasonably intelligent and/or can be pleasant (in general) and some aren’t.
What struck me was how prevalent the attitude with black guys of “bitches are for giving up the p***Y” was, even from some really smart and overall pleasant (except for this), even charming (when they wanted to be) guys. Not all of them to be sure but with jocks in particular the percentage was pretty high. Half or more of them expressed that kind of thinking. It was I thought even back then illustrative of them chasing white women and they had no shortage of women who wanted to “date” them. Younger people have gotten far more evolved socially than they were back then and now race isn’t as far as I can tell a big deal to people half my age or young anymore which is a good thing.
With a lot of black guys I knew back then I could easily see why any woman liked them. Smart, hard working, handsome and genuinely good guys. However… I knew plenty lacking that last “good guy” quality that would f**k any woman with a pulse – as long as she was white. Listening to them cracking each other up with misogynistic commentary about how ugly, and or fat or even downright nasty their conquests were, and worse how they’d share those gals amongst each other was revolting. What they really loved were white women who weren’t fat or ugly but “plain” looking and they’d really go to town with their stories but not be quite so willing to let their buddies screw one of their “stable” of such “bitches.” And boy did the talk REALLY get ugly when it came to attractive white women with low-esteem. THESE were prized possessions to them. Even for gals like this who were “side p***y” they’d make a point of showing off out in public I’d see them come to blows if they thought one of their buddies was making a pass. I wasn’t nearly so familiar with men physically abusing women back then but as I learned it was much more common than I’d ever dreamed I shudder at what happened with any of these gals, the one’s they prized and felt possessive of (the slightly better than plaln looking and the head turning beautiful ones) endured at the hands of these assholes.
What I’ve never been able to get is how many of these guys loved, even revered a strong black mother or grandmother who raised them, yet were so misogynistic. That same woman they’d speak of so highly would as they saying went “knock the black off them” if they knew what the young men they raised were up to. Anyway, unfortunately I can see why a startling percentage of these guys (not that there aren’t even more such white guys – there are after all a lot more white guys than black guys) would admire Trump. A lifelong “Find em, F**k em and Forget em” dude.
Any woman with power who wouldn’t put up with any of their sh*t would trigger their resentment. And a black woman? Especially one as accomplished AND, let’s face it beautiful as Harris who could size them up and could (and would) cut them off a the knees in five seconds would drive them insane. Just like it does with Trump. The only difference between them and Trump when it comes to women is that he wouldn’t be caught dead screwing some unattractive or even fat woman. I wouldn’t be the least bit surprised if Trump does wind up pulling twenty percent of the MALE black vote, and perhaps even more because unlike Hillary Kamala Harris is a “sister” and worse, she’s married to a WHITE dude!
Well, I’d better dig out my flame retardant gear because I expect I’ll get flamed for being racist for my comments. However, it’s what I’ve observed in the course of my life. I’ve seen both interracial couples and couple of the same ethnicity where there is clear love and respect, and I’ve seen both where there isn’t. Men and women of every ethnicity who are loyal to and faithful to their partners and yet so many who run around and cheat on each other. Some feel a sense of guilt about screwing around and some don’t. And some derive not just satisfaction but FUN from screwing around, and worse some of those people take delight in humiliating their partner by letting them know what they do.

I spent years doing the real work while the man “in charge” got all the credit in the 70s. Women were the ones who did the actual administrative functions that kept a business operational, yet we were paid less than even the janitors not to mention the man at the top who did next to nothing but take the glory. When I finally made it to an executive position, I was accused by both men and women of sleeping my way up. Truthfully, the women were worse about it than the men who worked for me. Ursula, we’ve come a long way baby, but not far enough.
I watched Kamala’s speech and I didn’t hear anything whiny or lecturing in it. Maybe that’s my perception vs theirs. It looked like to me the audience was fairly diverse, obviously they were there by choice and the enthusiasm was also obvious. These guys may be on the mark about some men’s thinking. I’m hoping that number is less and less as time goes by.
To the kind of insecure, weak-kneed men like the ones on this allegedly-Christian panel, any woman who says more than “yes sir” is by definition whiny and lecturing. Especially if they can barely comprehend what she’s saying.
And the DNC convention wasn’t “fairly diverse,” it was VERY diverse. In starkest contrast to the RNC version, which was basically white guys with their compliant wives in tow. The DNC gathering looked like America in the 21st century; the RNC looked like mid-20th.
Yes, Ursula, Foltz is a great inspiration. But for people who are unfamiliar, I feel that you left out the juiciest part of her story. She not only got licensed after persisting. The county criminal courthouse in Los Angeles is the Clara Shortridge Foltz Criminal Justice Center!! Persistence, thy name is Clara!! ✊💪
