I would not want to be Chris LaVita or Susie Wiles right now. Not for all of Elon Musk’s money. Not that anything is their fault. But they have a livid client now who needs to blame somebody because he is characterologically incapable of blaming the one person responsible for his problems, which is himself. Trump was leading Joe Biden by two points (which is a statistical tie) prior to Biden leaving the race. Now, with the Harris/Walz ticket in place, Cook Political reports has moved three races which leaned Republican into the toss up category: Georgia (which Trump has screwed up beyond rapair) and his go to plan if and when he lost Georgia, a combo of Arizona and Nevada. You saw what happened in Arizona yesterday, take a look at Nevada today.
This is Las Vegas, Nevada. It’s not a concert. It’s a Kamala Harris & Tim Walz political rally — people are dancing, singing, and happy. Truly magical. Truly joyful!

“For the first time in a long time, Democrats are united and energized, while Republicans are on their heels. Unforced errors from both Trump and his vice presidential nominee J.D. Vance have shifted the media spotlight from Biden’s age to Trump’s liabilities,” Cook Editor-in-Chief Amy Walter wrote in a post explaining the decision.
“In other words, the presidential contest has moved from one that was Trump’s to lose to a much more competitive contest,” she continued.
My belief is that Trump didn’t have it as sewn up as the corporate media would have you believe. If he did, then why the through-the-roof response to the new Democratic ticket? My theory has been that Joe Biden would have won reelection because nobody wanted Trump. Now people have a way to get rid of Trump AND have two other Democrats, younger, the next generation, that they actively want. So it is a new day, as they said in Shakespeare In Love. Nay, it is a new world. That’s why Democrats are united and energized. They’ve got their cake and they’re eating it too. Now look at this. This is going to make Trump drop a load in his Depends.
Is Harris really leading Trump among Latino voters? I'm calling our Latino friends and families to please answer my question! Is this an accurate poll? pic.twitter.com/WqJhsCmlqK

And it’s coming off of Fox News. Oh my ears and whiskers. I not only wouldn’t want to be Wiles or LaCivita, I definitely wouldn’t want to be a ketchup bottle. And MAGA is hauling this old chestnut out of the fire.

Oh, I well remember it. That is the stuff of my nightmares, in fact. But the circumstances then and the circumstances now are totally different.
Again, my favorite quote of Lincoln’s: “Public sentiment is everything. With public sentiment, nothing can fail. Without it, nothing can succeed.”

Somehow I doubt that “Lynne B” has any REAL Latino “friends and families.”
An interesting thought, though: Just look at the pictures of Harris and Trump in the poll image. What a contrast in appearances. VP Harris looks like the mom who just caught you in a BIG lie but is letting you think you got away with it (until she drops the hammer and grounds you until you’re eighty-five–and you’ve already been out of the house and living on your own for ten years). Trump, on the other hand, looks like you just interrupted his TV watching to let him know you won the Science Fair, the Pinewood Derby AND the National Spelling Bee all on the same day and he reacts with, “Is that all? Why are you bothering me with any of that nonsense? Did you make any money from it? No? Then go away, can’t you see I’m watching my show?”
I mean, it’s so funny then to see that New York Times piece. Trump’s actually got a bit of a smile–not much of one, but it IS there (like a stock he’d bought went up 20%, instead of the 15% everyone had expected–not enough good news to really crack a full-on smile but enough to make him look somewhat happy).
very interesting thought

From a Harris-Walz campaign official: There are over 12,000 people in the Las Vegas arena. In the last hour, local law enforcement made the decision to close the doors to the event due to people becoming ill while waiting outside to go through security in the 109-degree heat. Approximately 4,000 people were in line and in cars when the entrances were shut down. HERE YA GO, Maga TROLLS! STUFF IT IN YOUR A..
