If there’s one thing that for a long time now has made me fall on the floor, clutch my ribs, and laugh until tears squirt from my eyes like a character from One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest, it’s supposedly serious thinking analysts and talking heads gravely reporting how much more dangerous Trump is this time around. More dangerous?! Eight years older, more feeble, less cognizant, and without the full authority of the United States government at his beck and call? Do tell Othello, do tell.

And they do. Their specious claim is that Traitor Tot and his minions used January 6th as a test run, and have now refined their methods for the next time around. Bullsh*t! January 6th was nothing more or less than a panic stricken knee-jerk reaction from Trump finally realizing he was about to get the Denver Boot from 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.

Fist of all, all of the leaders of his far right militias are now modeling orange jumpsuits, and will be for decades to come. This taught those militias a valuable lesson about Trump. Moreover, if El Pendejo ex Presidente dared to try that again this time, does anybody really believe that it would take President Biden three f*cking hours to mobilize and call out the Nationa Guard to neutralize the threat? Give me a break! Where did you get all those letters after your names, a can of alphabet soup?

Here are the two reasons that these camera pimps most often use to make their point, each one followed by my reasons why it will never work in the first place. Which they’d already know, if they spent five little minutes watching news coverage that didn’t include their fat faces on the screen.

Project 2025 – This is a real thing, a 925 page blivet that is nothing more or less than a blueprint for dismantling the functioning United States in the first 180 days of a second Trump term. But at this point it’s also almost impossible to implement, for two good reasons.

First of all, the plan relies on several spurious plans of action. For one thing, it calls for the instant firing of up to 40% of the deep state workforce, and their replacement with loyal Traitor Tot toadies. Unfortunately most of them are civil service employees, with federal job protection, and the lawsuits would last until long after His Lowness stops befouling this earth. The same goes for Trump taking executive actions to do things like force the FDA to change their approval on abortion drugs, and other such twaddle, which will also immediately be tied up in federal court until the Second Coming.

Project 2025 was, and could have been incredibly dangerous, but not anymore. A plan like that requires secrecy, delicacy, and panache, three things that neither Traitor Tot nor the dunderheads at The Heritage Foundation either have, or ever will possess. A legitimate action plan like that should have been created in strictest secrecy, and shown only to those with a need-to-know, in order to maximize the shock-and-awe effect so that they could have it up and running before anybody figured out how to deal with it.

Instead these imbeciles wrapped it all up in a pretty package, published it, and put it out there for the world to see. God, they wre so proud of their mental masturbation! And now you have an open civil war in the GOP between the morons who created this dumpster fire, and the politicians that want nothing to do with it. And meanwhile, lawyers for everybody affected are already starting to craft their initial filings for their lawsuits, and resulting restraining orders. In their haste and arrogance, they voluntarily gave up the element of surprise that they desperately needed to make this whole Rube Goldberg contraption fly in the first place.

Overthrowing The Election results – As I said above, January 6th was a desperation move by Trump as a result of losing. It was never supposed to get that far. The actual action plan was to cause a constitutional crisis in the courts through multiple lawsuits designed to stop critical states rom certifying the states election results, making January 6th unnecessary.

But that plan quickly unraveled. It turned out that neither the Trump campaign nor their aligned partners had legal standing to file the suits, and the suits they did file had no legal foundation or merit. The Trump legal mob went 1-64 in their lawsuits, and their one victory was on a procedural ground, and the case was tossed in the next hearing. Worse yet, these cases were dead and buried well in advance of the congressional certification date, so there was no delay there.

Now, these pseudo analysts and shrieking skulls in the media are claiming earnestly that Trump and the GOP learned their lesson in the courtroom debacles of 2020. Well, if they did, the idiots didn’t learn very much.

The new secret plan, and if I know it, it’s because it’s already common knowledge, is to leave the courts as the last resort. Instead they started to infiltrate local and county election boards with MAGAt’s who could hold up the proceedings by refusing to certify the results, fragging the whole thing out internally until it finally went before the courts for adjudication. Which could slop over the state certification date, setting up a constitutional crisis. As half ass schemes go, this one at least had a chance of success.

But as we all know by now, The Cheeto Prophet could f*ck up a one car funeral. Just as with Project 2025, they couldn’t just get the parts in place, and let the damn thing lie fallow until the Shock and Awe moment to unspring it. After the nightmare of 2020, they wanted a test run to see if it worked.

Which they had, in 2022. And this exercise in futility was so stupid and senseless, it could have been engineered by Jared Kushner. In several key states that had the pieces in place, they had their minions refuse to certify the election results on totally specious claims of election fraud and irregularity. The McGuffin is that these were totally inconsequential races with no possibility of changing the balance of power. They just wanted to take their newfound power out for a test drive and see how it handled.

So, how did it handle? In short, like a f*cking Chevy Chevette at the Indy 500. In most cases, the local and county boards themselves quickly stepped in and applied enough pressure to make the apostates see the light. The Secretary of State stepped into others, issuing orders, and the few that actually went to court were squashed in world record speed.

It at least had a chance of working, if they had just put the pieces in place and waited to spring the trap. But they just had to shoot their wads. And now you have states with blue legislatures like MN and MI taking legislative measures to neuter these imbeciles, and activist groups like Marc Elias’s legal eagles going to court to get injunctions strictly outlining the rules and authority of the local and county boards in processing the certification of elections.

Stupid is as stupid does. Just think how well the D-Day invasion would have gone if Eisenhower had decided to hold a full dress rehearsal on the shores of Dover two weeks before the invasion. Trump is an imbecile, and his minions are imbeciles, and as a result they just can’t help showing the world how brilliant they are every time an idea crosses their empty heads. In the writing of history books long after I’m gone, it may well turn out that the ultimate saviors of democracy weren’t the court in 2021, it was Trump and his minions, who couldn’t hide a birthday present in a warehouse. They should be ashamed of themselves.

I thank you for the privilege of your time.

  1. Also in Georgia just this week, their State election board “passed” some illegal stuff, even though they were told it was illegal.

While Georgia has passed some legal legislative stuff these past few years, it seems that even the republicon higher-ups are going to have to take these idiots out bhind the woodshed.

Like Murf said, out in the open, too early, doomed to failure. All they got left is violence, and those guys are all in jail.

I’m tired of people trashing Merrick Garland. He got the guys he needed to get, trump is still on the hook because all his laundry is STILL being publicized daily. He may not be behind bars, yet. The Melon Felon is toast. He’s the only guy who refuses to know it.

    • It seems that we on the outside looking in weren’t on the “need to know” list and our wondering in print and out loud why the AG didn’t act to bring Von Schitzie to justice sooner was nothing more than a distraction that lulled MAGA into complacency.

    • Wrongo North. garland did NOT get who he needed to get or did you forget about ginny? There are more in fact our there. I don’t know if garland is a plant by the fascists or just doesn’t see evil when it smacks him in the face but when he didn’t charge the participants and all of the planners with treason, it might have been a fatal error for the country. And I don’t think calling out this serious either lack of imagination or lack of will is trashing him. He failed and in doing so he failed our country.

IF we can get sufficient governmental chambers blue again and the w.h. in Harris’ hands, maybe this can be somewhat fixed. Never forget this one thing: the genie is out of the bottle and the nut-jobs in our country know just how pitifully unprepared this nation is to defend itself: if our nation isn’t strengthened against another domestic terror attack, another attempt at treason, we will become a talibanesque hell-hole because that is what the treasonous pieces of shit who wrote and want to implement proj 1825 are intending to do.

  2. Please, please use spell check, or better yet Grammarly. All the misspellings make it frustrating to read. In fact I couldn’t even finish reading it.

    • Cat, those of us “regulars” here understand that Murf has some “issues” and that we all appreciate his thoughts and contributions and we put up with the spelling errors. Please continue to join us here, we all soon “got over it” which is easier to do than suffer another four years of the Melon Felon. He’s goin’ down, yippie!

  3. I’m not so sure J-6 wasn’t a trial run and not ALL the leaders of what went on that day are sporting orange jumpsuits. ginny for instance isn’t. I think the planners used the RWNJ militias to test the waters as it were and also because they were expendable. I’m pretty sure what they were wanting to find out was who would commit treason to further their grasp on power. They had to know if pence, red state legislatures and congress would commit treason–and I will give that attack on our country no other label. I do not know why the participants aren’t being charged with treason but more importantly I don’t know why the likes of ginny aren’t being charged, jailed, and brought to trial for treason. That wasn’t insurrection, although that is bad enough, it was TREASON. They tried to overturn the results of a free and fair election and install their dick-tater.

They know better now having watched this unfold and one of the key leaders, ginny, is still out there free as a bird planning to try again. Garland failed in many ways since becoming A.G. of the U.S. but this failure to charge the participants and all the planners of J-6 with what it was, treason, be the nail in the coffin that was the United States. The 2020 planners have people at the ready to just throw all ballots cast for democratic candidates in the round file. They really aren’t counting on legislatures participating in treason again-they won’t have to.

I think you’re wrong Murf. Just because the first attempt looked amateurish doesn’t mean it was a serious attempt. Perhaps things like committing treason to overthrow a democratically elected government and install a dick-tater takes practice. Admittedly, the planners and participants are not the sharpest knives in the drawer but that doesn’t make them any less dangerous. Not according to Bonhoeffer.

    • Technically those who organized and/or took part in J6 can’t be charged with treason. It’s I seem to recall the only crime actually defined in the Constitution and absent a formal Declaration of War by Congress or at the very least a Congressional vote authorizing the use of military force against a specific enemy in a prescribed place and manner legally speaking someone can’t be charged with treason. However there ARE quite serious felonies which can result in the same punishments.

You won’t get any argument from me that Garland didn’t fail us by not going after the politicians and their advisors who planned and carried the whole thing out. I’ll never forgive him for that. He was simply too old-school moderate to do what we all know he should have done. Hell, that moderation was how he had such widespread GGOP support to replace Scalia on SCOTUS – before McConnell decided to deny an Obama pick to even get a hearing, much less a vote. Obama had sought the advice part of the advice and consent and while GOPers knew there would be lots of rulings from a Justice Garland that would be the opposite of what they’d have gotten from Scalia they also knew he was someone who’d go out of his way to be low-key and not make waves. And even sometimes surprise people (and dismay Democrats) by siding with SCOTUS conservatives.

Where I disagree is that while I think the organizers of j6 who’ve escaped justice haven’t looked and worked to craft another attempt informed by what caused their first one to fail they’ve got some problems. First, an awful lot of those who stormed the Capitol assumed two things. First is that the promises that filtered down from Trump via his minions were correct. It would work and he’d stay President. Second, he’d pardon each and every one of them – a “blanket pardon” for anyone arrested either that day or in the future. There was a LOT of WTF? out there in riot minded MAGA land that Trump didn’t issue that big blanket pardon before leaving office. Add to that while initially it seemed (because in too many cases it was true) that people were mostly getting far lesser sentences than their crimes warranted and prosecutors had asked for over time as proseuctions moved up to leaders of the various “units” who led the actual attack got a whole lot harsher a lot of those who’d have been willing if not eager to do it again are skittish.

Add in that THIS time, if Trump doesn’t win and they try it again THIS time they won’t have a WH and President sitting on his hands. They will be facing an entirely different tactical situation and National Guard troops not just from DC but MD and VA will be geared up and in position to respond within minutes. I wouldn’t even be surprised to learn an order declaring Martial Law for a day wasn’t prepared and sitting on the President’s desk days before Inauguration day, and a couple of Battalions of Regular Army troops were staged across the river (with all the helicopter needed to ferry troops and with “door gunners” loaded with tear gas) at Andrews. AND a company or two of “shock troops” with helicopters at Anacostia (on the DC side of the river and where Marine One is based) that could respond in minutes.

THAT is what the seditionists would face this time if they try. Not as I said that the J6 top organizers out there aren’t trying to figure out what to do but it’s going to be damned tough for them to sneak in their own heavily armed units to breach defensive barriers at the Capitol. Communications including that of certain Congress Critters (extending to their family members, staff and even close friends) will have been going on too. I won’t say it wouldn’t be possible to have all the high number of face-to-face meetings necessary to coordinate another attack on the scale of J6 but it will be damend tough. And, as I’ve noted given what the goobers that have some tactical training and experience know what will be facing them might decide the odd of success are too low to get involved. Especially since they know from bitter experience see how Trump didn’t pardon rioters last time when he still could have he would do so this time. If it’s politically inconvenient for him he will like last time throw his own “troops” under the bus!

I think there WILL be trouble and it will be ugly. Violent in fact and even for some fatal. Just not enough to do anything other that again horrify a strong majority of the nation and cost whatever is left of the GOP dearly for who knows how many cycles to come. Any GOP politician who doesn’t denounce it in the storngest terms AND stick to their denial in the face of MAGA threats will be finished except in the reddest of places. And there won’t be enough of them after the ensuing midterm to matter. But first we have to WIN and do so convincingly. Overwhelm Trump and the GOP in the election.
