To be honest, when MSU is not in full session, there aren’t a fuck-ton of people in bozone. It’s called a “city” but there are less than 40k when the college isn’t in its fall and spring semesters. It’s kind of like Stillwater, OK-when Oklahoma State is in its fall and spring semesters the population of the town doubles and Eskimo Joe’s makes $’s hand over fist.
Now, MSU is not a good college (definitely mediocre) like Oklahoma State but it is the second largest in the state behind UM (another mediocre college) which has been the largest in the state but MSU might overtake UM because UM is losing students faster than MSU. You want to know which institutions of higher education are GAINING students in MT? The vo-techs. This makes sense in a largely agrarian state.
