This doesn’t surprise me in the least and you don’t need to study psychiatry in Vienna to figure this one out easily. Donald Trump has gone over the new game that he finds himself in. He’s not a man who adapts well. He learns neither from his successes (2016) nor his failures (2020.) He managed to gaslight himself, along with the help of the corporate media who always depict every presidential campaign as a horserace for economic benefit, that the 2024 race was a shoo in and he had it in his pocket. Then Joe Biden’s patriotism and decency thew Trump’s world into chaos in a heartbeat, when he passed the torch to Kamala Harris. And so now, Trump has one way to save himself and one way only. And here it is.

This is Trump’s desperation and despair that you’re reading here. Joe has made his decision. The party has gone along with him and the party is moving on. Joe’s legacy is secure and he will go down in the history books as a selfless prince. Trump simply can’t grok this. He is constitutionally incapable of understanding doing anything for a larger purpose. We’ve always known that about him. That’s why he calls military people suckers and losers. An oath to the constitution, which is a photo op that he did and (to him) has the same meaning, is something big to other people. To normal minded people it is a call to their better angels, to serve the ideals and the principles that they are swearing to uphold beyond just their own selfish ends.
Trump didn’t believe Biden would step down. Moreover, Trump didn’t believe Biden could step down. That’s because Trump can only see life in terms of ego and power. He doesn’t know any dimensions of reality beyond that and so he estimated Biden’s moves with those two characteristics, only, in mind.
Now Trump is going into a psychotic meltdown of some sort. The misspelled names, meant as childish mockery, simply make the old man look pathetic. Somebody needs to grab his phone, stat, and do some damage control.

What fascinates me is that Trump simply has no idea how government works. He’s trying to convince himself that something nefarious happened because he just simply cannot accept that Joe put America above himself. And it’s crystal clear that Trump fears the Democratic convention because that will seal the deal. As soon as the official stamp of approval is affixed, according to tradition, and the race moves forward, Trump is toast.
This is actually his prayer to Joe. He’s begging Joe, “make a scene. Throw a fit. Demand the nomination back. Lose your everloving mind, because that’s what I’m doing.”
Watching this pathetic lunatic lose will be so satisfying. There were those, of course, who said that they wished that the would be assassin would have been successful. I said, “No. I don’t want Trump to be a martyr. I want him to lose and go through his trials and lose them, too, and then go to prison.”
Reading this tweet makes me feel pretty certain that Trump knows that that is in his future and so he’s screaming to Joe to save him. “Save me from Kamabla and Barrack and their War Crimes.” That’s what we’ve heard this Tuesday morning and the day is still young.
I didn’t think it could be possible that Trump wouldn’t make it until November but here he is melting down before our eyes. Could there be a ticket change on the other side? Who knows? Will calmer heads in the Republican Party prevail?
The reality of this situation is exactly what you are saying here. Trump needs to do what Biden did. But Trump can’t, because his only chance to avoid prison is to get back in power, control the DOJ, and get the cases against him dismissed. Now he probably could do that with a unified government but right now he doesn’t have a lock on the White House (and he really never did but the corporate media told him he did) and the House is expected to go back to Democratic hands. The Senate was going to be close, but the possibility of it staying in Democratic hands was always pretty good.
My point is, that even if he did get back to the White House, which I have never seen as a reality, it’s still not going to be easy. If he doesn’t get back to the White House, then he is going to attend three more trials.
And don’t forget, just yesterday he lost his bid to delay the sentencing in the hush money trial. Shit’s getting real for Donald! Excuse me, DonOLD!
Actually, he could make a deal with whoever would head up the ‘pube ticket (which I don’t think would be hillbilly boy) to pardon him on the federal crimes. The state stuff, it doesn’t matter what he is, he can actually be tried, convicted, and punished be it jail or what have you. I think if the s.c. tried to give him a by on the state crimes, there would be a lynch mob the very next day: hell, I’d lead the damned thing.
I think Trump has run out of political currency with the SCOTUS. I don’t see them doing him a lot more favors. And even if they did, there is still the state case in Georgia, which is the biggy. It will be so satisfying to watch these trials.
Ticket change? Naah, not gonna happen.
Think about it: First, winning the White House is his only route to nullifying the federal cases pending against him, and would give him a chance, with a GOP-controlled Congress, to get legislation passed that would grant him immunity in the various state cases. He absolutely WILL NOT step aside.
Second, his MAGA cult/base is still the most dominant force in the GOP, and they’re absolutely positive that he alone can “fix everything” for them, and bring “their country” back to them. The “rational”, old guard GOP faction doesn’t have the power or stones to defy MAGA.

We make light of the word but – Malignant: adjective. disposed to cause harm, suffering, or distress deliberately; feeling or showing ill will or hatred. Synonyms: malevolent, spiteful. Antonyms: benign. very dangerous or harmful in influence or effect.
To me it looks more like fall on the floor, punching, kicking, screaming tantrum. With all the waayaas, boo hoos, shuddering gasps. So much drama when he doesn’t get his way.

CGI being what it is and with advances in AI I think it’s time for someone to put up the money to someone with the skill set to recreate a certain memorable scene near the end of The Wizard of Oz. You know the one. Where the Wicked Witch of the West mewls “I’m melting…” as she dissolves. A Trump version where Kamala calls out for Joe and asks if Dark Brandon has an extra set of sunglasses on him. Biden of course pulls out two pair of sunglasses and they both zap Trump at the same time. Probably someone can come up with a more entertaining version of Trump melting but I think it should end with a custodian making quick use of a wet-vac on the puddle, then walking into a bathroom painted gold and dumping the nasty colored water into a fake gold toilet and flushing it!

Trump’s dangerous pathology and the downward spiralling in the state of his mental health, by extension, surely has a negative impact on the mental health of all Americans, as well as being a danger to their democracy. The one effective way to deal with this clear and present danger and worsening level of mental illness is his total and unchallengeable rejection at the ballot box.
