It’s said that the most brilliant ideas are the simplest. This I have seen. I remember the invention of the post-it note. What a terrific concept! After many years of paperclipping or stapling notes to files, voila, I could just stick a piece of colored paper on whatever. And that invention made a fortune. So did the bottle of baby oil that had grooves for your fingers so that you could hold it securely. And now, out of the blue, we see the obvious: the true definition of DEI hires has been right in front of our noses all the time — and we simply have been oblivious. In many ways, the original DEI hire was Trump. And then his children. Remember this?

So we could do more spins on DEI: “Donalds Efforts are Idiotic.” That works. Or, “Dumb, Ethics-free, Imbecilic.” Or “Dopey, Egotistical, Insufferable.” You see what I mean? We can go on about how the acronym DEI applies to the Trumps up one side and down the other.
I would like to know how DEI hire Ivanka Trump got 41 trademarks in China on her own merit and not because she was Daddy’s little girl. And while you’re at it, did the Saudis give Kushner $2 Billion because he was the greatest hedge fund manager in the world? That would be good to know. And then of course Jared and Ivanka worked “without pay” when they were in the White House — well unless you want to count the $640 Million that they made from their connections when Trump was in office. But these are legitimate, hardworking, accomplished people, you see, and Kamala Harris, who worked her way up the ladder one step at a time is a DEI hire. I hope somebody can explain this to me.
This next clip is slightly offpoint, but it speaks to two issues: 1. Kellyanne Conway might have been hired because of her knowledge of polling and political strategy but then her role became that of Hanoi Hannah, Toyko Rose, that level of propagandist; 2. Even though Trump is clearly a creep, his children are in his employ. Everybody in his employ says what he wants them to say, no matter how screwed up it is. They go along with it.

And we move on towards November 5, 94 days from today. Wow. Just a tad over three months. It will roar on by, too.
I’m wondering how much of the $2 Billion in Saudi money Kushner will still have after Daddy-in-Law loses? That will be interesting to watch. Kushner is very much a useful idiot and it’s entirely possible that the rest of the world sees what we see here in America, that the tide is now turning, that there’s been a sea change.
None other than Vladimir Putin indicated that just yesterday when he agreed to release the political hostages and they were flown back. That was a real black eye for Trump, after all his bragging that only he could get the hostages released due to his extraordinary relationship with Putin. You saw that myth go up in smoke yesterday.
Putin had to know that that would be a consequence of his actions. The question is, was that consequence intended or was Putin indifferent? We will probably never know but just think about it for a moment: Either way it’s bad news for Trump. If Putin intended to make the incumbent Democrat look good, that’s bad for Trump. If Putin didn’t give a tinker’s damn how Trump was affected, that’s not so good either.
And it’s got to be one or the other. If there is a third possibility here, I don’t see it. Do you? Putin is cunning and he’s a realist. His actions yesterday indicate that Donald Trump has a lot lower profile on the world stage than he would like to think he has. And that, on top of everything else that has happened recently, is undoubtedly both threatening and depressing.
Another possibility is the former KGB agent knows more about how seriously Ukraine and Europe are slipping away and his power at home may be at greater risk than we will ever know. He sees the wind shifting and that the gop is at serious risk of losing power. He knows if that happens he and his empire are at serious risk. He may be angling for some kind of reset/truce with the west/NATO and hope he can come off looking more like a statesman than a murderous dictator. Any way you figure it, he cares only about his own situation rather than what happens to his useful idiot. We really don’t know how his disastrous invasion has eroded respect for HIM in Russia. A graceful exit/standoff would be preferable than clearly LOSING the war due to the US throwing full support behind Ukraine with money and military equipment. Trump may fall out of a window if he visits Russia again. A rat can’t rat if they are dead. Helsinki anyone?
