The Fatal Flaw In Trump And The GOP’s Campaign Line Of Attack

I guess I can’t really blame them, after all, when you spend just under 45 years using the same basic strategy. It kind of becomes a habit. I get the feeling that that’s the reason that all of those dinosaurs stuck that second foot into the La Brea tar pits.

And now Trumpasaurus Rex and the rest of the GOPasaurs are about to stick their second, fatal foot into the political La Brea tar pit. And I don’t think that it helps much that like the original dinosaurs,most PAGAt’s also have brains the size of a pea.

Going all the way back to 1980, when Reagan unveiled his racist Southern Strategy, appealing almost exclusively to lower class and education southern whites, the idea was simple. In its raw form, anybody who wasn’t poor or lower middle class, Evangelical Christians and whiter than sour cream is an other. He had so much fun with that that he later expanded it for the northern, more industrialized states. He started referring to poor or lower class black women, many single and with multiple children as Welfare Queens. They were all sitting around eating steaks on food stamps and driving around in new Cadillacs, while the rest of us ate hot dogs and drove around in Chevy Chevettes.

It grew like fungus. The GOP used the immigration problems at the southern border to paint everybody brown who spoke Spanish, whether legal or undocumented as Wetbacks. During Newt Gingrich’s Moral Majority, even whites who didn’t pass the Evangelical sniff test were pagans and adulterers. Including Gingrich himself as it turns out. And going into the turn of the century, gays and lesbians who were bold enough to come out of the closet were labeled as queers and dykes. The GOP never seemed to run out of others.

And now they’re at it again with the ascendence of Kamala Harris to the position of presumptive nominee for the Democratic party in 2024. beggar Vance has already referred to Harris as the DEI candidate. Others have been more direct, calling her a racial diversity candidate. Hungarian Nazi slob Sebastian Dorka derisively referred to her as colored. And some social media posts are gleefully calling her a Monkey Girl, climbing the political ladder using her tail. Once again the GOP has their other.

There goes the second foot into the tar pit. Which also begs a simple question, What the f*ck do you think that everybody other than you is looking for? Why do you think that more than 70% of registered voters were desperate to see anybody but you and Biden on the November ballot?

This isn’t 1980 anymore, it’s bloody 2024. America is younger, darker, browner, and more socially and ideologically diverse. One at a time, every single one of your favorite pet prejudices has gone the way of the Dookie bird, from blacks to Hispanics, from non believers to Muslims, from gays and lesbians to transgender to hippie freaks. In fact, all of those others now make up the majority of this country. And to us, you’re the others.

Let’s just run a quick checklist here, and see if any of you GOPasaurs can come up with a reasonable, or even passingly plausible explanation to any of these;

• If everybody loves the same old white guy status quo, why did nobody want wither Trump or Biden on the 2024 ballot
• If Trump is indeed The Second Coming, why is Traitor Tot now on his third run for the White House, having gotten bounced in 2020? And don’t give me any of that Big Steal bullsh*t either, he got his ass kicked
• With Biden in the race, Trump led comfortable in five out of the six critical battleground states, tied in one. With Harris as his opponent, he’s now within the margin of error, +2 in two states, tied in three states, and Harris is +1 in one. What happened to the Trump juggernaut, which saddled us with a hillbilly imbecile to have to suffer through for the next three months?
• If people love the retirement home status quo, how did Harris raise more than $20 million in cash, and more than 160,000 volunteers in a single week, becoming the Queen of Tik-Tok at the same time
• If Trump is so goddamned popular, why is the GOP running like a litter of kittens from the apocalyptic Project 2025 which would dismantle American democracy and make Trump a lifetime dotard dictator?

Your time has passed. Sharks and alligators learned to adapt, and survived, as lethal as ever. Your prehistoric political views are no longer relevant in the modern world. You have two choices, You can adapt, start actually talking about current issues seriously and honestly, and try to pull those two feet out of the pit, or you can double down, keep up the status quo, and stick that third leg in to try to pull out the other two. personally I’m looking forward to that most glorious of sounds in the near future, BLOOOOOP!
