Well, isn’t this special? In less than two hours, political infant Gomer Vance will take the stage and formally accept the GOP’s Vice Presidential nomination. And when that happens, well, Donald trump has no idea of the Pandora’s Box he just opened.
People are going to accuse me of tryig to give imbeciles a bad name, but I can’t think of another term. Trump is a political imbecile. Reporting has told us that Trump was swayed by two factors in his final decision to bring Vance on board, and both are as dumb as the original box all of those rocks came in.
First, Trump’s ultimate goal was to pick a running mate that could help him win a general election. What?! Vance is a political neophyte. All you need to know is that a Democrat almost beat him in a red state against a sitting congressman, while running 11 freakin’ points behind popular GOP Governor Mike DeWine. His only national footprint is for writing a semi autobiographical book about growing up poor in the Rust Belt. And if memory serves me correctly, when they made a movie off of the book, they cast a girl in his role. Vance couldn’t even get himself elected, he rode Trump’s influence and RSCC cash over the finish line.
The second reported reason that Traitor Tot chose Vance was that, after a near miss with a visit from the Grim Reaper, Il Douche started rethinking his legacy. And he decided that Vance was the one best suited to carry the MAGA torch once he checked out.
He’s f*cking kidding me, right? How many times do I have to say this? Trump is a one trick pony, a political freak of nature, that’s why no other candidate can out Trump Trump. Once he’s gone, while MAGA may be a long term pain in the ass in red states, it will cease being a national threat. And while Vance can parrot the official line with the best of them, as a public speaker he has none of the charisma, passion or fervor that His Lowness does. Mostly what he looks like onstage is a hirsute 17 year old running for class President.
There are two potentially fatal flaws with Vance that Traitor Tot is now stuck with. First, at heart he’s a turncoat traitor to the cause. In 2016 he called his new boss a pompous *sshole, America’s Hitler, deranged, and every other negative smear you can think of. Amazing what an extended fluff job at Mar-A-Slobo, and carrying Trump’s water in the Senate can do for your career prospects, huh? But you gotta know that Democratic oppo research drones are already busy putting together a whole catalog of before-and-after ads of Vance slamming El Pendejo Presidente before turning around to perform a Neil-and-Bob. This is guaranteed to rub raw on Trump’s oh so special snowflake fee-fees.
The second is even worse. With Mike Pence, Traitor Tot had a known and predictable quantity. Mainly a loser GOP politician, almost certain to get turfed out of his Governor’s job on election day when Trump plucked him up and offered him the job. Until January 6th, Pence was as weak and malleable as an abused puppy. Most importantly he was happy to stay in the background and let Trump hog the limelight.
With JD Vance, Trump has a true wild card on his hands. Vance is almost 40 years younger than Trump, brash, arrogant, aggressive, and loves the spotlight, as you can tell by his writing an autobiographical book in college. That love for the spotlight is going to cost Trump dearly with Democratic ads spotlighting Vance’s former disdain for Trump. It’s also going to piss Trump off when he starts stepping on Trump’s toes for the spotlight.
But also just like his new boss, Vance is an arrogant loudmouth that never seems to know when to STFU! If he sticks to the script, a teleprompter should help him to get through most rallies and set speeches with a minimum of muss-and-fuss. But in an unscripted interview, say with the New York Times editorial board, or shouted questions on a rope line, he’s a neutron bomb just waiting to go off.
And all it will take is once. A largely unknown ass clown like Vance couldn’t survive say, an Access Hollywood moment. And neither can Trump this time. Simply because Trump is 79 years old, and voters are going to be very unforgiving with the thought of an ass hat being one heartbeat away from sitting behind the Resolute Desk.
When I look at the Vance candidacy, mostly what I’m reminded of is the 2000 George W Bush nomination of Dick Cheney as VP. The GOP power structure loved the idea of a savvy, experienced political operative there to mentor the schmuck the GOP faithful picked. And they stayed thrilled right up until the minute that Cheney moved in, and set up a shadow presidency right down the hall from the Oval Office. Could this be Trump’s fate in a second term? We already know that His Lowness is susceptible to the influence of the last Wormtongue who gets into his ear, and who would have that ear more often than his Vice President.
Rachel Maddow just opined that The Cheeto Prophet would never have chosen a far right bomb thrower like Vance, severing once-and-for-all the white suburban women voters if he wasn’t absolutely sure this election is in the bag. I concur. But The Pampers President is ignoring the fact that almost every battleground poll showing Trump leading is within the margin of error.
Pride goeth before a fall. And arrogance goeth before a pratfall. Sooner or later the Democrats are going to get their sh*t together, coalesce, and get into attack mode. And once they do, JD Vance could well end up being their secret weapon. Don’t touch that dial.

Ain’t all of Vance’s problems. I saw a clip of Nick “I’m not racist or anything*” Fuentes dumping on him cuz he married a woman who’s parents came from India. And he and his wife named their kid Viveck. So Fuentes thinks he’s not White Power enough and won’t support them in the face of the white replacement, what with him married to a BROWN woman. Looks like he won’t carry the Nazi vote.
