This is what’s simmering off on the back burner while the mainstream media is pulling its hair and kvetching about how old Joe Biden is. He may be old but he doesn’t have a plan in place to gut basic freedoms and Donald Trump does. Trump publicly disavowed his Project 2025 involvement yesterday, to the great surprise of many — most of all people at Project 2025. But they have rallied and they’re back up and punching. Here’s a preview of what America as an autocracy looks like.

If I’m not mistaken, this is Trump’s body man, John McEntee, who also handed out counterfeit bills to homeless people in the hopes that they would end up like George Floyd, I guess. It was not a kind spirited thing to do, let’s just say that much. Here’s what got attention yesterday when Trump publicly said he knew nothing of Project 2025 and thought some of their ideas were “ridiculous.”

Maybe that’s where the next battle ground is: Did Trump initially approve Project 2025 and is it a major part of his platform? Or, his entire platform, perhaps? Because if that’s the case, then why is he discrediting it, especially a few months before the election.

He has said he plans to be a dictator on Day One. Project 2025 has said that this is the blueprint for him to not only do that, but to remain a dictator. Maybe Kevin Roberts, the Heritage Foundation guy who drafted Project 2025 and speaks publicly about it all the time should get on a video call with Trump and the two of them hash it out. That I would love to see.

  1. In what timewarp have these people been hiding for the last hundred+ years?

What’s next on their list? Only land owners can vote?

They do know that half the current electorate are women, don’t they?

    • Which is why they need women out of the electorate. Women decide elections because they deal with life/health/fulfillment/ect. issues at the macro level. When you have children and have the daily care of them as most women do for at least some portion of children’s lives, you take a look at issues men do not care about or at least don’t vote with any consideration for those issues. Ditto for elder care-women vastly outnumber men with it comes to taking care of parents. A successful politician must not only please men, but also speak to the issues important to women and those are likely to be a whole different kettle of fish than typical male issues.

Con pols like the thought of men in the study with their cigars deciding what’s best for the country but especially what is best for themselves. Women pols have a much broader perspective than their male counterparts mainly because they either have children, will have children or are caring for their parents or will at some time before the parents die. The women who fought for women’s suffrage made much of that very fact-why are they left out of the decision-making process when it so impacts them and their families. Quite frankly, you can run on a platform of every man gets laid once a month and you’ve pretty much got the male vote-women require more of their elected officials.

I certainly hope this dumb-ass spouting his troglodyte stupidity is aired often-women really need to be paying attention to what is in store for them if they put ‘pubes into public office. It’s not just bodily autonomy, deciding when to breed, and a host of other issues-it is coming down to women not even being allowed to determine their course in life or the course our nation takes in the future.

It is pathetic women have to still fight against fools thinking, and saying, women are not only second-class citizens but are barely human. What dumb-ass doesn’t realize is that we are a super power nation because of females in the workforce, the increased purchasing power they wield, and their contributions to our science/technology/productivity/etc. Take women out of the electorate and it is going to be take women out of the workplace soon after–the depression this nation would incur from such a bone-headed decision would place us into third-world status and we’d likely never recover from it. Dumb-ass’ lack of this economic fact indicates he either doesn’t have more than a half-assed secondary education or if he went to college it was at one of those “colleges” like liberty univ. or some such college wannabe institution.

I don’t see this going down well for tweedle dumb-ass trump aid-I hope he hasn’t bred yet because we might just have a Darwin Award winner when he pisses off enough women that they decide retro-active abortion is a good thing where he’s concerned.

      • The military is 20% female. The senior Is have said without women we’d be in severe pain– especially now when they are lowering standards for Es because recruiting is way, way down.
Sadly evangelical.women would be fine with this.

    • in short, yes. the UK Conservative Party, bank rolled by the same RW think tanks, tried to do exactly the same and take the UK back to the 1830’s, they want subjugation of everyone apart from white male landowners

  2. I have a suggestion for you women planning to vote for trump…just go into the kitchen, get a knife, and cut your own throat. Faster. Less painful. And you won’t live to see your daughters and granddaughters sent to prison after seeking an abortion or a contraception. You are cutting their throats. Or you can smarten up and vote Democrat. Your choice.

  3. Well, to do away with the 19th Amendment, they have a little thing called “Constitutional amendment” to deal with. The right to vote for women is established by a Constitutional amendment and the ONLY way to end that is to repeal that amendment, a process that requires a 2/3 vote in the House AND a 2/3 vote in the Senate and then approval by 3/4 of the states. So, in the House, you need ~290 votes (presumably the requirement is based on actual members present and voting so if there are only 402 members when an amendment is proposed, it would take 268 votes to pass the amendment) and in the Senate, you need ~67 votes (same issue in play as with the House concerning members; if there are only 93 Senators to vote, it would take 62 to pass). Then comes the biggest hurdle: That 3/4 of the states’ ratification. There’s no “skip” on the matter by the states. The bill comes before the state (whether done by state legislature–the usual manner–or by popular vote) and a vote has to be held. But, it requires 38 states (at present that’s 3/4 of 50; DC has no say in the amendment process) to get added to the Constitution.
There IS an alternate method by which 2/3 of the states (I believe this is only a legislative matter) can call upon Congress for a convention to propose amendments but it still requires ratification by 3/4 of the states. This method has never been used (there are a lot of issues to deal with, notably the scope of the amendment process–does it mean only one issue can be discussed or can a variety of issues be discussed and all the experts are utterly divided on how it would proceed; even the Heritage Foundation which had supported the process for years, opted last year to produce a paper opposing the process).
So, even if an effort to repeal the 19th manages, against ALL odds, to get the 2/3 majority in the House (using the base 290-seat requirement, neither party has been that high since Jan 1979 at the end of the 95th Congress; in just the past 20 years, the Dems have had a maximum of 257 in the 111th Congress and the GOP have had a maximum of 247 in the 114th Congress) and the 2/3 majority in the Senate (using the base 67-seat requirement, neither party has seen that level since the end of the 89th Congress back in 1967 when the Dems had 68 seats; in the past 20 years, neither party has even cracked 60 seats, including supporting independent caucus members and that was only briefly in 2009 when the Democratic caucus, of 58 Dems plus 2 Dem-leaning independents, had exactly 60 while the GOP’s greatest level was 54 in the 114th Congress), the measure still has to go to the states and I really doubt that it could get ratified by even 30 states. Obviously, the reliable “blue” states would hold out against it–between the “Pacific 4” (CA, HI, OR, WA) and the Northeast Corridor (ME, NH, VT, MA, RI, CT, NY, NJ, DE, MD) plus the Midwest stalwarts (IL, MN), that’s 16 states that wouldn’t ratify but I imagine there would be more than a few “red” states that would refuse to ratify (notably Wyoming where women were allowed to vote in elections while the area was still just a territory but also Alaska, Idaho, the Dakotas and even Kansas allowed women to vote before the 19th was ratified).
And I honestly can’t believe that the extremist members of SCOTUS would allow an executive order to strip women of a GUARANTEED Constitutional right, especially when the Constitution clearly provides for the amendment process AND there’s Constitutional precedent for repealing an amendment. An executive order would be the only possible alternative but, again, it would be a direct violation of the Constitution (at least, in this particular case).

    • Wouldn’t the Constitution be thrown out under Project 2025? They don’t intend to follow it. They intend to crown king orangeman dictator for life. They plan to put military in the streets. They plan to round up, deport, imprison, possibly even kill, their imagined enemies. So what makes anyone think that they wouldn’t just do away with the entire Constitution without following the laws and guidelines set forth within it? It doesn’t seem to me that they care much about the law, just their own brand of “justice”.

  4. That’s what the Constitution says BUT vonshitznpants has already proclaimed he wanted to dump the Constitution and make his own declarations so don’t get complacent that it or anyone else is coming to the rescue.
