Wow. Despite all the post debate lamentations and predictions of gloom and doom should President Biden remain at the top of the Democratic ticket, new polling released today by Bloomberg/Morning Consult actually shows that the President has gained ground in that particular poll and is enjoying his best numbers since the poll began in October of 2023. What is more, Biden now leads Trump by 5% in Michigan and 3 in Wisconsin, as well as being in statistical ties in North Carolina, Arizona and Georgia:
”In a Bloomberg News/Morning Consult poll conducted from July 1 to 5, Trump led Biden by only 2 percentage points (47 to 45 percent) among all the swing states polled—Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, North Carolina, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin. Across all seven swing states, 4,902 registered voters were polled and there was a margin of error of plus or minus 1 percentage points.
Bloomberg News reported that the 2 percentage point gap between Trump and Biden is the smallest it’s been since they began this type of polling in October 2023.
Meanwhile, when looking at each state individually, Biden was ahead of Trump in Michigan by 5 percentage points (48 to 43 percent) and Wisconsin by 3 points (47 to 44 percent). Meanwhile, Trump led Biden in Georgia by 1 percentage point (47 to 46 percent), Nevada by 3 points (48 to 45 percent), Pennsylvania by 7 points (51 to 44 percent), Arizona by 3 points (48 to 45 percent) and North Carolina by 3 points (46 to 43 percent).”
The best News here is that Biden had never headed Trump in this poll, and so pundits cannot discount it by saying that has actually lost ground.

Pennsylvania appears to be problematic, showing Trump leading by seven, we can only hope that that is an outlier.

It is only one poll, but after a week of drone like repetition of the New York Times/Sienna polling showing Trump ahead, this is a welcome change.
Remember Trump the felon still faces a judge for sentencing before November. That’s a poll that needs attention.
Merchant put off the sentencing. There shouldn’t be an issue here. Jurors found him guilty of 34 felonies on state charges for actions that occurred BEFORE he was president. None of those 34 felonies can be considered “official acts” because he wss not yet president.
It is hard to believe these polls.
An older proven capable trustworthy leader who fixed unemployment and the economy and has measurably improved the lives of most people is polling about the same as a racist, rapist pedophile sex offender, fraudster, with a string of failed businesses, and 34 times convicted criminal felon, who has already lost the popular vote many times and never won it, who cost hundreds of thousands of lives and crashed the economy purely by his own astonishing ineptitude, who ruined almost irreparably America’s ‘soft power’ influence abroad, and promises to rule as a dictator and destroy democracy – oh and was responsible for half the population having civil rights taken from them, all the while obviously suffering from dementia that runs in his family?
Specially after it is revealed in court documents that he employs people to distort polling in his favor?
It might backfire though, with the polls this ‘close’ it acts as a good incentive for the anti-Trump vote to get out, vote, and keep the creep out.
