If you were as disgusted as I was last night over the pundits groaning, “It’s over. Joe has to pass the torch. He’s too old to run again,” on and on and endlessly on, this will bring a much needed lift to your spirit. No, the debate did not go *well* and I emphasize the word because Joe Biden did meander a bit. He was not uber focused or on top of his game. But that by no means counts as a resounding *loss.* Not one time did he fail to call Donald Trump out on his lies, which is something that the moderators should be doing. How many references did we hear to the White House running the Manhattan trial last night? In any event, that was last night, this is today.

This is the real framework for this election. This is the way to carry the day. Biden is going to tell us the truth, Trump will always tell us lies. That’s the way of things. What’s good about the clip above is that Biden is taking ownership of his age. Age is an issue. Both Trump and Biden are old. The difference is that one man has been a public servant his entire life and the other man has never worked a day in his life.

The Democrats need to stay real world focused right now. Trump has only one focus and that is show biz. He will always go for the jibe, the wisecrack, the whacky story, anything to get attention. We need to put the emphasis on truth. Only by contrasting Trump’s never ending barrage of lies with Biden’s real world achievements can we point up the differences between the two men.

First we have to remember that ALL of the major news outlets are fear-mongers! They will do whatever gets them the most attention. They don’t care about anything else at all. I made it through 15-20 minutes of the debate before I turned it off because I suspected my blood pressure was dangerously high. Every sentence from Trump was a lie. It would have taken 15 minutes for Biden to explain the lie and present evidence to.debunk it. And the cats hid my soft sculpture dribbles so I did not even have the satisfaction of tossing them at Trump’s smirk (worthy of the Grinch) or his constipated baby look which was,,I think, his attempt to show in credibility as a,Serious Man.
