I hope that we’ll be hearing from Mary Trump on this topic in the near future. Somebody with a professional mental health license needs to weigh in on this because it’s a pattern and a most concerning one. Donald Trump seems obsessed with the idea of nuclear war. And not just one occurring, he intends to start it. At least this is what former Puerto Rico Governor Roberto Rossello claims in a new book he’s written.

When Donald Trump traveled to Puerto Rico after Hurricane Maria devastated the island in 2017, he remarked to then-Governor Ricardo Rosselló that the United States “won’t be second” in using nuclear weapons.

The startling admission was revealed in Rosselló’s upcoming book, The Reformer’s Dilemma, due to be released on Tuesday. The Hill received an excerpt from the book, that described how Rosselló and Trump were in a helicopter surveying damage from the hurricane.

“‘Nature has a way of coming back,’ said the president. ‘Well, it does until it does not. Who knows with nuclear warfare what will happen …,’” Rosselló wrote in the book.
“And then, he said the one thing that made me more concerned than anything else in the entire visit. ‘But I tell you what …’ He paused for effect. ‘If nuclear war happens, we won’t be second in line pressing the button.’ This statement floored me. I could not believe what I was hearing. It was surreal. Was he really talking about total annihilation as we flew over the ravaged sights of the island?” Rosselló wrote.
He talks about total annihilation all the time. Frankly, I think it’s because he fears his own and so he’s decided that he’s going to take us all down with him. He spoke about Joe Biden blowing up the planet with nuclear bombs twice in a one-minute clip on his way to Ohio. This is his usual blather, but he does say that he’ll be at the debate next Thursday, and it’s most likely because of the *bad* Fox News poll.

There you see the pattern again, the strange talk about nuclear holocaust. And the bragging about polling but the fact of the matter is that both candidates have been in a statistical tie for some time — although if a small spike in one poll is what it takes to galvanize Trump into showing up a week from tonight in Atlanta, then by all means, let’s hope another two or three polls come out with the same result in the next week.

Trump seems scared and that’s a good thing. He knows he has to put up or shut up. June 27 should be one for the books.

    • The one thing I’ve always hoped for, and maybe we’ll find out that it actually happened, is that generals and people in high places hid a lot from Trump. I believe that may have been necessary. Maybe John Kelly doesn’t want to talk about these things now but someday he might.

  4. I would love for Biden to call his bluff and require they both submit to a drug test prior to the debate and the results made public. Of course, I would expect traitor tot to come up with some excuse for not doing it, if that was the case.

    • I think Trump would be crazy enough to blow up the world, just because if he was in the Oval Office again he would be able to. In all events, I look for patterns in what people say and do and this is an alarming pattern, this obsession on nuclear conflict.
