I don’t claim to know what goes on in the rooms of Dark Brandon Enterprises, a place which I imagine to be like the Batcave, where creative wheels turn and churn, making ad copy to keep the White House out of the clutches of the 77-year-old dementia patient who would be president. Again.
The orange stain upon our national honor is far from being washed clean. In fact, I think it will be decades before that actually happens, if ever. Just as Germany has to bear the cross of Adolf Hitler and that country’s darkest hour, so will America be forever known for the time in history where she got totally lost and took a broken road into a strange cul-de-sac; and then spent years trying to get turned around and headed to the main highway again. The GOP is lost. Here’s an establishment Republican calling Trump out. And I would laud Nikki Haley for doing so, but for the fact that she will endorse him in a few months, or at the GOP convention this summer. Nonetheless, it’s good ad copy for the Democrats and Uncle Joe.

What I find interesting about the bottom clip is that Haley wasn’t really there to talk with the host, she was there to demagogue. Kristen Welker had to struggle to get out a question. Haley just wanted to give her pitch, create a soundbite and then leave. She didn’t want to be put on the spot.
That said, at least she was willing to take a shot at Trump. What a shame that she’ll do a DeSantis and turn it all around in the not too distant future.

Haley claims she’ll stay in the race until Super Tuesday, the first week of March. Who knows what kind of hot water Trump will be in by that time legally?
This saga of Trump is complex at this point. Lots of plot lines. Lots of things that could take the story off on yet another wild tangent. Or, Trump may manage to:
- Delay all his trials;
- Somehow pay his judgments or at least a portion of them;
- Get on the GOP ballot in July — or before;
- Get clobbered at the ballot box and claim that the election was stolen, just like the last one.
Rinse and repeat until MAGA tires of sending him money, or he shuffles off this mortal coil and departs this vale of tears.
Or, another possibility:
- Trump’s dementia causes a collapse, taking him out of the race;
- Trump’s morbid obesity causes a collapse, taking him out of the race;
- He is convicted of a crime and sentenced and then the scenario shifts to whether he can government from a prison cell;
- As a convicted felon, he’s clobbered at the ballot box and claims that the election was stolen, just like the last one.
Pretty good odds that this could have a happy ending. For us, not him.
The second set of options is preferable. As Xitter Trumpers, I pay them no heed.
I wonder if Nikki is planning on him being struck down one way or the other, get the nod, then hammer Joe on his age? You are correct in predicting her lining up behind him, if he stays alive, as all good nazis do.
Happy ending? No way. Yes, we can and hopefully experience the relief of a huge, HUGE political bowel movement. A painful one. The hurt will overwhelm any sense of relief. And hitting the flush handle won’t be the end of it. As with Germany and Hitler, it will be a ‘bowl scraper” and leave plenty of residue clinging to the sides of the bowl, some of which might take so long to scrub away that the stains will be permanent. And there will be a nasty and foul smell so think folks will see it in the air as it spreads, working its way into carpets, drapes, even woodwork. So much so thought will be given to burning the dwelling down to get rid of it and completely rebuilding.
For now I’ll settle for however it happens, whether he keels over, the GOP comes to its senses before the convention or Trump gets his ass kicked in the November election we will at least expel the turd and be able to flush it into the sewer. However I’m not going to kid myself it will be an easy process, or that it will all be over once we flush.
The deplorables. When toilet wax ring doesn’t work and one cleans everyday, the stank (fumes) is still leaking through. USA has a big sewage problem. But one problem at a time I guess.
