Two things going on in the past 16 hours: That rustling sound you hear is of the Koch rats scurrying to reposition things now that Ron DeSantis has given up even the illusion of being a presidential candidate. Now the GOP race has been winnowed down to Nikki Haley, the last woman standing, and the only woman in this primary, and Donald Trump. The second thing you’ll hear is a killer ad that Team Biden put together with the handle, “I don’t agree with Nikki Haley about a lot of things, but we both agree she’s not Nancy Pelosi.”
First the Koch network, which is adamant that Trump not get the nomination. And so is Haley. She’s playing the age card every which way. She’s the generational change that is needed, she brays — which was DeSantis’ argument. He and Casey were going to bring Republican Camelot to the White House, white opera gloves and all. Remember that? All that is gone now, pressed in the dream box along with crushed rose petals and old dance cards.

The memo goes on to say, “There is no question but that Nikki Haley wins in a head-to-head contest with Joe Biden. Some polls have her up as much as 12 points in swing states like Michigan. She consistently outperforms Donald Trump by wide margins. Nikki Haley is by far the strongest candidate to win in November.”
If that’s the case, then Haley needs to win in New Hampshire, and South Carolina and Nevada, etc. Intriguingly, DeSantis could have helped the GOP, at least the Koch Brothers Network, if he had endorsed Haley. He chose not to. He bent the knee and endorsed Mango Mussolini. He kissed the ring.
Now we get to the piece de resistance. The ad that Joe Biden’s campaign team cranked out. It is stellar.

A large part of the GOP is agreed Trump shouldn’t be on the ticket. And they may get their wish. Trump may get convicted. Nobody knows. But if Haley is having a hard time at the primary stage, what makes her think she’ll do all that well in the general?
Let’s see how this amorphous mess shakes out. Somebody will stumble out of the pack. It may be Trump and then he may be convicted mid-campaign. And then what? His VP goes to the top of the ticket? So we would be looking at Elise Stepanpack Stefanik as the GOP candidate? Is that her plan? That’s interesting, that’s some 3-D chess playing there, she’s going to be Trump’s VP and when he goes to prison, she becomes the standard bearer. This I have to see.
And it might go down that way. We are on political terra incognita. Nothing like this has ever happened in America. History gives us not precedent. We can’t say, “The same thing happened in 19__ and the result was…” We have no example of anything this insane in our history.

That brain in the meme is far too large. Some of that may be forced perspective, but no camera glitch could make something the size of a walnut appear that large.
