And since you’ve been so polite and tolerant, I’ll cut right to the chase. In a new poll released today, which isn’t getting anywhere near attention, there is bad news for Trump’s reelection bid. According to the poll, 54% of all voters want to see Trump Prosecuted for his crimes. That number is up 8 points from two months ago, when only 46% wanted him prosecuted as compared to 51% who wanted to give him a pass.
Think about that for a minute. 54% And I didn’t say 54% of Democratic voters, or 54% of GOP voters, or even 54% of independent voters. I said 54% of all voters. And the last time I checked, it only takes 50% +1 to win a national election. And from where I’m sitting, if you want to see Traitor Tot roll the dice in front of a state or federal jury, you’re not exactly marking your day planner in bold black to run right out and vote for El Pendejo Presidente.
Look. Do me a favor, do yourself a favor, and do everybody else around you a favor, and forget about the stupid GOP primary poll numbers. They don’t mean sh*t! Unless His Lowness suffers a debilitating physical issue, or a bacon double cheeseburger inspired coronary, he’s in. If Chris Christie had spent the last 18 months putting together a MAGA style coalition of Never Trumpers, this could be interesting. We could have some Crips vs Bloods style rumbles in the parking lots of GOP primary debates. But Trump owns the party, and none of these other third rate losers in the field has the charisma to sell used cars, much less successfully run for President.
The numbers you want to watch for are numbers like the ones I just gave you, dealing with public response to Trump’s blossoming legal problems. And don’t bother with polls dealing with Democratic or Republican respondents. Of course Democrats are wanting to see Trump in irons, and of course GOP voters think he’s as pure and innocent as The Infant of Prague. Stick with generic all voters national polls.
When you look at it coldly and logically, if you ignore Trump’s almost cult like strangle hold over his base, and the wussies and sycophants in the GOP caucus and the RNC, The Cheeto Prophet has had an almost amazingly short shelf life. Trump got in, besides the help of Vlad the Imp with a soft group of disaffected and turned off group of Democratic, GOP, and independent voters who were willing to vote for a change. And maybe a conceited, narcissistic, megalomaniacal despot wanna be was just what the country needed.
It didn’t last. Almost every one of those soft Trump voters who was later interviewed admitted that they voted for the novelty of Trump. The schtick was entertaining on the campaign trail. But those voters also admitted that once Trump was sworn in, they expected Trump to lock in, grow up, and do the job. But instead all they were treated to was more Trump campaign style bullsh*t, the only stock in trade he has.
And while it played well with his slobbering Trombie Army, it turned off the rubes. It cost Trump and the GOP 40 House seats in the 2018 elections, and damn near every one of those soft voters admitted they were tired of the bullsh*t, especially the Twitter bullsh*t. It cost Trump and the GOP the White House and the US Senate in 2020, and the Senate again in 2022.
And now Trump isn’t even President anymore, and he’s a four times indicted criminal defendant to boot. And still bullsh*t is the only stock in trade Traitor Tot has, because that’s what works with the base. He’s a political martyr, being persecuted by an out of control Biden DOJ to damage his campaign. And while brain dead Trombies might not consider the improbability of the Biden DOJ pulling the puppet strings on the Manhattan Da and the Fulton County Da to persecute Trump, these soft voters will. Because they recognize bullsh*t when they hear it.
54%. That’s the already existing pool of Democratic, independent, and soft Democratic and GOP voters laying around out there just waiting for the Biden campaign to come along and scoop up. Now it’s their job to find the right message or messages to motivate them to come out and vote. And here’s why I want you all to watch those non partisan polling numbers. because as more pre-trial hearings and motions are conducted in all of these venues, and the more information comes out via talking filings, The higher that prosecute Trump number is going to climb. And the more impossible his reelection becomes.

Ken Buck, a very conservative Representative from Colorado, told CNN, “I can’t think of anything worse than trying to attack the criminal justice system because you’re a criminal defendant.” Well, better late than never, I suppose. We will see if others in the GOP start signaling that Trump is toast.
I expect to hear “plea deal” more often within the sordid echo chambers of the GOP and right-wing media. Any sane Republicans still left will want to shut this circus down before it destroys the party completely.
50% +1 in elections other than the prez. As we have seen way too many times, the winner of way more than 50% + 1 voters loses the election because of that wretched e.c. If whoever came up with that obscenity weren’t already dead, I’d likely change that status.
I.hope those sift voters,aren’t doing what they did with Hillary: lying through their teeth because they like tax cuts and are embarrassed to admit they would vote for a chimpanzee if it out more money in their pockets.
