The lay of the political land in summer of 2023 is that Ron DeSantis has taken the stance that he has always been underestimated, yet won anyhow, and this time will be no different. Okay. Let’s watch what happens. DeSantis is only polling at 22%, Trump at almost three times that, but maybe DeSantis can topple him.
If he does topple Trump, it won’t be with logic like this.

I like the idea that Trump is colluding with himself. It matches the logic of an article I posted recently on how the Mormon Church depicts masturbation as “self rape.” Rape is nonconsensual so how you can do something nonconsensual to yourself intrigues me. Maybe Ron DeSantis can explain it.
I don’t know what’s up with Bartiromo. She sounds like she needs somebody to grind Valium in her coffee. Maybe somebody leaked her a personnel memo and she sees herself going to the same direction as Tucker Carlson. Or, using Occam’s Razor, maybe she wants to be the new Tucker Carlson and that’s what that looks like.

Not sure where you got the thing about the Mormons regarding masturbation as self rape. IN amm my 72 years as a member, I have NEVER heard any such thing taught by the leaders. The strongest thing I ever saw was Spencer Kimball saying that young men who masturgate regularly should not be called on missions until they have gotten themselves under control. I have a sense that, like many of those bizarre ideas, they originate as a kind of urban legend based on speculations among the more straight-laced members. I imagine among those same folks, the concept of female masturbation doesn’t exist, kind of like Queen Victoria never outlawing lesbianism in Britain. To her mind such a thing was impossible, and so could not requir a law banning it.
