It is said you can tell a lot about a person by the company they keep, or, in this case, by the political contributions they make.
Catherine Leavy of Westfield, Massachusetts was arrested by the FBI in connection with a bomb threat called into Boston Children’s Hospital on August 30 of this year.
I have chosen to share her name in this post because no bomb was ever actually deployed, and so no one was hurt or killed.
The FBI located the criminal mastermind using her own phone data.
“The FBI said Thursday that an arrest has been made in connection with a bomb threat against Boston Children’s Hospital last month.
Catherine Leavy of Westfield, Massachusetts, was arrested without incident and charged with one count of making a false bomb threat by telephone, according to charging documents filed in U.S. District Court for Massachusetts. She faces up to five years in prison.
FBI Special Agent Joseph R. Bonavolonta said at a news conference Thursday that the threat was one of “well over a dozen” against Boston Children’s Hospital. He said authorities are investigating others…
A caller to the hospital on Aug. 30 is alleged to have said: “There is a bomb on the way to the hospital. You better evacuate everybody, you sickos.”
Leavy apparently had no intention of actually bombing the hospital, whom she and the other callers making threats are allegedly upset with for offering transgender heath services.
What NBC does not report in their article is that Leavy made more than 200 political contributions to the Donald Trump Presidential campaign, associated MAGA PACs and Republican causes starting in, you guessed it… 2016.

Federal Election Commission records show Catherine M. Leavy of Westfield has made dozens of campaign contributions to former President Donald Trump, the Republican party and MAGA PACs since 2016. Heavy confirmed the address listed in a Trump filing for the campaign contributor matches public records for the 37-year-old Leav.
The most recent campaign contribution was $150 to Trump on August 12, 2020. Leavy also contributed to WinRed, the Trump Make America Great Again Commmittee and the Republican National Committee. The 237 contributions total in the thousands, records show.
In October 2020, Leavy shared a MassLive article on Twitter about Democrats trying to flip a Republican state senate seat in Massachusetts and replied, “He’s a pos he blows cocaine and steals money you guys have no clue.” She also responded to a tweet in October 2020 about the Biden-Harris campaign and wrote, “You want people to vote at 14 years old seriously wow.”
Way to keep it classy, Catherine.
We can be very relieved that this suspect was just a blowhard, but there were other threats made, and I am sure the FBI is working just as hard to identify them and prevent any harm.
The same FBI, BTW, that drumpf, and others of his and Leavy’s political persuasion, are busy vilifying every day just for doing their jobs.
I don’t know what the sentencing guidelines are for threatening to bomb a Children’s Hospital for Christ’s sake, but I hope the judge throws the book and all of its appendices at this one.
These MAGA nutjobs need to be made to think twice about mimicking their hero drumpf and making violent threats against innocent people and institutions.
A guy I follow on Youtube, “Moviebob” Chipman, is a native Bostonian who was particularly incensed by this bit of stochostic terrorism asshattery. As he pointed out, that hospital has done a lot of good for the city and never deserved such threats.
Speaking of, I’m wondering at what point this crowd is going to connect the dots and realize their faux-golden calf is NEVER going to save them when they get caught. In the eyes of the people they follow, fools like this woman are not just expendable but disposable.
Cult members don’t ever connect the dots. They are emotionally, psychologically, and intellectually incapable of doing so. Why they will en mass force feed cyanide to their children to get to heaven per the demand of Reverend Jim Jones. When whatever cult or mass movement dies under their feet, they gravitate towards the next compatible one (assuming suicide has been ruled out as an approach). Their one consistent conviction is that obedience is the price of belonging…an important cautionary tale in that.

How can anyone justify bombing a CHILDREN’s hospital, where there are sick children and the medical staff who treat them? They are the same radicals who bomb abortion clinics and kill doctors and nurses to “protect the unborn”. Right. Let’s kill the living to protect those not even born. Crazy, twisted, obsessed and ignorant – welcome to the evangelical fold.

All the donations she made, and I bet she is not a wealthy person. Besides turning the MAGA follower’s minds against rational, innocent people, it must personally affect their finances. What real benefit do they get? Just their narrow-minded tendencies reinforced, from what I can see.
More than a few religions run on the same models, which is probably why the Christian churches of denominations are now looking at probable minority status by 2070.

I’m thinking more along the lines of digging up the last printed version of the Encyclopaedia Britannica (32 volumes) and throwing THAT at the criminal.
