Keystone Kash isn’t the only one bumbling in the Trump administration. The White House and Karoline Leavitt are right there with him in the stumblebum department. The initial report from Walter Reed, as conveyed by Leavitt, was that there was “imaging” done but no specifics. Trump went on to contribute that he had an MRI but he didn’t know where or for what purpose. “It wasn’t my brain because I had a cognitive test and aced it.” Seriously. That’s a quote from onboard Air Force One. But today we learn that the MRI was of Trump’s heart and abdomen, due to extreme age.

The memo stated that all the president’s major organs appear “very healthy” and “well-perfused.” Barbabella stated he had no acute or chronic concerns.

“This level of detailed assessment is standard for an executive physical at President Trump’s age and confirms that he remains in excellent overall health,” Monday’s memo concluded.

Chalking the scan up to the president’s advanced age comes as Trump has faced a series of questions about his health since returning to office as he is the oldest person ever elected president.

In July, the White House revealed Trump had been diagnosed with chronic venous insufficiency after pictures captured him with massively swollen ankles. CVI is a common condition in older people where the leg veins fail to pump blood to the heart.

The White House at the time insisted there had been no changes to the president’s routine and he was not taking any new medication to treat it.

Let me tell you why this is blowing smoke and anybody here over the age of 65 will probably agree with me: Trump is obese. He’s not just clinically obese, he’s morbidly obese, and nobody ever wants to address that. I guarantee you that doctors talk with overweight patients about their weight because mine talked with me about it. That’s why I lost twenty pounds two years ago and I could stand to lose another twenty pounds — and I am nowhere near as fat as Trump is.

That’s the literal elephant in the room that is being ignored, is Trump’s weight. So his heart may be pumping along for now and his abdomen may be digesting McDonald’s toad burgers for the moment, but a 79-year-old who is as fat as Trump is courting disaster.

And many many is the man or woman who is much thinner than Trump who has suffered a stroke or cardiac arrest in his age bracket. So while the White House physican paints a glowing picture of the begirdled, braced, cathetered, diapered, shoe-lifted Trump, common sense and the naked eye can make a medical assessment which is more realistic.

I would be astonished if one of these doctors has not mentioned Trump’s obesity to him. In fact, it would be medical malpractice not to do so. Anytime that your ass is broader than your shoulders, you’re not in good health. And that is the case with Trump. Unless he is a svelte athlete and half the population is hallucinating that he’s a tub of lard. How likely is that?
