Just another day in the right-wing universe, where shooting people is discussed with as much nonchalance as asking when the next bus leaves for Boise. Turning Point USA is having a meeting in Idaho today and a rather chilling question came out of the audience.
“At this point, we’re living under corporate and medical fascism. This is tyranny. When do we get to use the guns? No, and I’m not — that’s not a joke. I’m not saying it like that. I mean, literally, where’s the line? How many elections are they going to steal before we kill these people?”
Isn’t that charming? And speaker Charlie Kirk followed up with a suggestion that lawful means be employed to safeguard elections but he also lied and said, “We are living under fascism.” Really? Democracy might be feeling poorly, some people say she’s even on life support, but this is news that democracy died outright and now we’re living under fascism. But that’s what Charlie Kirk said.
“We are living under fascism. We are living under this tyranny. But if you think for a second that they’re not wanting you to all of a sudden get that next level where they’re going to say, ‘OK, we need Patriot Act 2.0.’ If you think that, you know, Waco is bad, wait until you see what they want to do next. What I’m saying is that we have a very fragile balance right now at our current time where we must exhaust every single peaceful mean possible.”

I feel sorry for this guy who has swallowed the stolen election hooey hook, line and sinker but on the other hand, I can’t blame him. He’s heard it, we’ve all heard it, coming from elected officials, who are supposed to be high credibility sources when it comes to all things political.
The Big Lie is toxic. The Big Lie is infecting the political bloodstream of this country and it could well kill us. This man here is waiting for marching orders. How soon before one of these loons decides to go ahead and mobilize him and others like him?
Disinformation is big business. When Donald Trump came on the scene, political disinformation became a booming business. Charlie Kirk and the rest of his ilk want to keep the cash register ringing and it’s not liable to do so if they end up going to prison for inciting overthrow of the government. The January 6 Select Committee is in the process of investigating what happened there and here’s this guy in Idaho, apparently ready to be part of the second wave, coup two. And again, who can blame him? People who supposedly know so much more than he does are standing at the front of the room saying we’re living under fascism.
Maybe five people dying in January for nothing wasn’t enough. Maybe more blood has to be spilled over this idiotic fantasy of a stolen election. If I had to lay odds today, I would say that’s the case. The answer is for Donald Trump to stop this nonsense and lacking that for everybody else to stop it. But that won’t happen. This is the tragedy that we live in today, the moral bankruptcy that is politics as usual in 2021.

So, these idiots are claiming that we’re living under fascism and they turn around and attack ANTIFA for, what again? I mean, ANTIFA has been pretty quiet for the past year since the country managed to AVOID its collapse towards fascism (even if the folks who supported–and still support–the guy who wanted a fascist regime still think ANTIFA is some sort of big deal).
If that rich, privileged moron dan Quayle had given pence the green light, we would be in the grasp of trumps second stolen term. No rescue plan with money sent. No vaccine rollout. No stopping the fossil fuel industry from pushing us to extinction. THATS HOW CLOSE IT CAME. I’m from a military family with war vets from ww2, korea, & Vietnam. 99% of you never served a day. Not one day. Spent some time in the summer of ’86 in Idaho. Even then it was known for right wing extremists especially in northern Idaho from Coeur d’Alene to Sandpoint, but they were looked upon as lunatics by everyone else in Idaho. Sounds like things have gotten much worse there thanks to Fox, Newsmax, OAN, Sinclair propaganda with masses of people unable to think for themselves brainwashed & transformed into Nazi robot-pawns. The is no different than how terrorist leaders of al-Qaeda, Boko Haram, Shining Path, Hezbollah, Hamas and the Taliban recuit poverty stricken ignorant thugs as their foot soldier terrorist murderer-bombers.
