Joe Biden is a wartime president now. That situation is not unique. What is unique is the fact that he is the only wartime president in the history of this republic who has had to contend with a domestic propaganda arm dedicated to lauding the dictator on the other side of the world who is hellbent on disrupting world peace and praising him as the good guy, while undermining the American government. This is a first.

Here is what that looks like.

The first clip is Steve Bannon and Erik Prince of all people, praising Putin for being anti-woke and hating the LBGT community.

You saw the subtitles in the Russian TV version. Think about this for a moment: Fox News is the New York Bureau of Russian TV. Is there any other way to interpret this? Because in network news, and the same is true for print journalism, there are bureaus all over the country and foreign desks as well. For example, if a story which affects the UK happens here in the U.S., the Guardian will get a feed directly from its U.S. correspondent.  That’s called boots on the ground. This is no different. Tucker Carlson is the United States correspondent for Russian TV and Fox News is their New York office. If I am wrong, please explain it to me.

So we have the equivalent of Toyko Rose, Hanoi Hannah, Baghdad Bob and the like right here in America, actively inveighing against the sitting president, a wartime president, in a time of war.

This cannot continue. If it does continue, we are going to lose America, which is precisely what Vladimir Putin wants to accomplish and apparently Rupert Murdoch is only too happy to help him. Who knows what those two have going on under the table?

  1. Good article and history lesson; https://www.thebulwark.com/father-carlson/?fbclid=IwAR0AVHIip_BEf5QYAyTsSaWa2wbSkaCSaCXY3_7vdTPwL-rLvDVst1FNqes

“Eighty years ago, when a dictator rose to power in Europe and invaded his neighbors, he found an ally in the United States. The dictator was Adolf Hitler, and his ally was Charles Coughlin, a popular radio host. Coughlin belittled democracy, defended the Nazis, and opposed America’s entry into the war, arguing that the movement to enlist the United States was a conspiracy on behalf of a sinister minority: Jews.

Today, a new demagogue has taken up Coughlin’s mantle: Fox News host Tucker Carlson.”

  2. I believe this is more analogous to the America First movement in 1940-41. It had a charismatic spokesman, Charles Lindberg. It had strong media support (Chicago Tribune and other major papers), radio support as noted from Fr. Coughlin, and a very divided country. Britain and France fought the Nazis and FDR fought the isolationists, while America itself was still at peace. Remember that the 1941 draft extension passed the House by only 1 vote, and that GEN George Marshall’s personal intervention was needed to pass Lend-Lease.

Opposition to government support of overseas actors dates back to the War of 1812, and includes significant pushback during the Mexican-American War in 1848 and the Spanish-American War of 1898 (especially by 1901 and 1902, from the Anti-Imperialism League).

My personal opinion is that anyone supporting Vlad the Imp is a treasonweasel of the first magnitude. But we have seen idiots like Rupert Moloch and [I like it!] Tuckyo Rose before now.
